Tipping?

I use to tip between $3-$5. I now just use the tip calculator on my phone and adjust accordingly if need be for the service quality. I'll add extra if the quality or something the person did is really great.

Here in NZ we don't tip at all. The minimum wage here is decent enough that you know that those who are producing you service are earning decently. The minimum wage here in NZ is the same as $10.30USD an hour.

I usually follow the "double the first digit" rules. So, if I pay $1-$9 I tip $1, if I pay $10-$19 I pay $2, etc. I sometimes tip a little bit more though if the waitress is hot the service is good.

I believe that a twenty percent tip is considered polite now.

Minimum, $4.00 but that's because I spent over 10 years as a waitress and I understand that people have bad days, are new to the job, etc. At Christmas time, I tend to tip a lot more. A waiter at Applebees got a $150 tip from us a few years ago. I will say he definitely earned it.

No, lol. It was the holidays and the waiter dude was amazing, especially with the kids. 😛
