Do you prefer to drive a vehicle or not to drive? For those who do not have your driver's license, do you want to get it or no?
I have friends who do not have their license (they are in their 30's!) and they don't want to deal with the stress of driving.
I've had my license since I was 14. I think it's way better to be driving than taking the bus/taxi, etc. You have more freedom when you drive and it really helps you out especially when your grocery shopping. It can be stressful a bit when your driving but that's when I crank up the music and enjoy the drive.
I have never driven and never will. I always get the bus to work and back, in fact I am the only teacher in the whole school, who doesn't have a car and doesn't drive. Hate driving, never get taxis as my family live near me, and I live 1 minute away from the town centre.
I love driving personally. I don't find it stressful at all. I'm the type of person who hates not driving though. I feel more stressed out watching someone else drive than if I myself was driving. I just don't trust people. 😛
The only time I find it stressful is when I'm on a busy freeway with cars all right next to me. I've just started to drive on a freeway a few months ago so hopefully that anxiety will go away, but yeah, I like to drive. ^.^
As we know many jobs need traveling as well need to have a driving license, it gives an extra point in selection. As well as if we know how to drive car or any other vehicle then we have to freedom to go some where in emergency but if we can't drive then we become dependent on others.
I love driving. ...but I hate traffic. Like I am able to drive 4 hours straight on a road trip for example but if I have to sit even just 10 minutes in traffic I get a bit restless unless I am blasting my music or if I have someone next to me to talk to.
I prefer to drive on the daily basis to places I need/want to go to as I do not like the idea of relying on someone else for a ride. However, if I am traveling on vacation at a place where there is established public transportation (train, bus, trolley etc) I rather use those as I feel like those options allow me to sight see better without constantly worrying about parking or where did I leave my car.
It's okay I guess, but only if I'm driving within town or other places that are not too far away from me. I can't be dealing with driving endless hours travelling to the other side of the country.
It comes in handy, especially if you have a job to get to, or need to run some errands, and visiting family/friends.
If you want to get places sooner and with a thicker wallet, then driving is likely your best bet. Heavy traffic sucks, but that also affects buses and taxis. Either fly or take a train.
I don't have my license yet, so it's really not an option. However, I love walking downtown, so I would only drive when going out of town, or if the weather is miserable.
