Too much junk mail?

Do you ever get volumes of junk mail within a few days or a week being sent to your email inbox?

I have found that I have to do a major clean out on my Microsoft email inbox every few days. The amount of spam and junk mail that I get is staggering. I don't have this issue on my other emails that I have from different providers that I use.

I have one account on Hotmail I have had for 20 some years. Past couple of years "they" must've found out about it because now it's inundated with junk galore! Even when I report it, they just use a slightly different email address. Wish there were better filters out there.

Me too. I have discovered there's really no point in blocking junk senders. You just get more junk anyway.

All the time, I end up reporting them or just junking them away, Just get used it doing it even though I'm sick and tired. Bad enough getting damn junk mail in your door

What I do is take the time to contact the people to take our name off their postal mailing list. I also ask how they got our name & if they "bought" it, I chide them gently to please not do that. We also don't buy from many places because then you are on the mailing list. Even donating sometimes. It's annoying! You try to help an organization & they send you a bunch of junk!

Not always, most of the junk emails are from not even clocking or doing anything, Somehow they get my email and send junk... Can be from just going to a website and browsing and then after 5mins you get an email

I always hit the unsubscribe button in junk emails.

I wish we could do that with all the advertisements that come in the physical mail to my mailbox.

Usually works for me. Sometimes it takes up to a week or two for their system to update.

My gmail email accounts don't get much junk/spam emails, thankfully. I noticed that when I went to unsubscribe from an online shop that my email became inundated with spam a few days later. I question that shop's integrity.

I will get periods of increased junk mail and then months of very little to none on my old Live email.

It's not so much the junk mail that annoys me it's those stupid scam emails such as "Please renew your drivers license" with horrible spelling/grammar AND the email isn't even one used by a government department in New Zealand - it's just a full on scam.

It bothers me as people fool for that sort of thing 🙁 Still in the year 2023 there's people fooling for stupid scams like this.

I've signed up for so many sites and forums so my email is definitely known 😀

I get tons and tons of email spam. It’s overrun my inbox, but I’ve just given up on preventing that. I just scroll through and find whatever email I actually need to look at.

OutLook is very strict on filtering junk though, Even forum email gets put in junk for some reason.

I use Gmail and luckily most of the junk mail gets caught but there are times when it does get through and it can be annoying. I am amazed at how much junk mail gets through if I am honest.

I know in the junk folder in Gmail, they tend to clear out that folder after a certain time so I am sure to check it within that time just incase anything ends up in junk that shouldn't.

I hardly bother to check email except to confirm forum accounts. In fact, it surprises me that email marketing is highly effective, but most are not like me.

Loads, but I mostly just ignore it unless I'm looking for a deal of some sort. I don't even really check my email much these days unless I'm expecting something on it, and I just dump it all out twice a year or whenever I get around to it.
