Too much junk mail?

Do you ever get volumes of junk mail within a few days or a week being sent to your email inbox?

I have found that I have to do a major clean out on my Microsoft email inbox every few days. The amount of spam and junk mail that I get is staggering. I don't have this issue on my other emails that I have from different providers that I use.

I do but only on my oldest email addresses like the ones I used when I was a teen, and the ones i used when in college.. but i have noticed that moreso with Yahoo, AOL and Gmail than Microsoft..

And since I have switched to an email client that isn't one of theirs, I have noticed less spam overall. I use Thunderbird on my PC and I am currently looking into K9 as they will become Thunderbird Mobile sometime this year, and so, I really look forward to getting away from the apps on my devices which have built in tracking and ads, that normally would require a paid subscription to block.

This and protecting my privacy is a big reason why I have been leaning heavily toward open source software in general.

Since vBulletin and Adobe were both hacked my personal email address which I was stupid enough to use with both companies has been inundated with spam. At one time it was primarily in Arabic, now it's mostly in Chinese. It's annoying.

I had to do a junk cleaning last week, as well. I looked down and realized I was getting close to 100 emails a day that were basically spam. When the number hit over 10k unread in my email inbox, it bothered me to the point I had to mark some stuff as spam, lol.

I use SimpleLogin and create a bunch of aliases to sign into websites. If I get junk from them I block it on the alias so it won't forward to my actual mail.

I do not get a lot of junk emails on my email account often. When an email sender keeps on sending me unnecessary emails, I unsubscribe.

I get a crazy amount daily, this is despite filters being setup to get rid of it etc, I must recieve in excess of 50 junk emails per day that I end up deleting!
