What’s the best way to ease a toothache — and don’t say “the dentist” 😂

I’ve tried toothache drops and they actually seem to make it worse.

Painkillers only take the edge off for a little while.

Any real tips that actually work?

I would recommend using mouth wash. I had a small tooth ache about a week or two ago. Mouthwash actually took it away.

Maybe painkillers like paracetamol or ibuprofen, rinse my mouth with warm salt water, and use a cold compress on my cheek to reduce swelling. It can also help to keep the area clean and avoid very hot, cold, or sugary foods until seeing a dentist.

If it's a back tooth, get some needle nose plyers & pull the mofo out.

Did you try swishing warm salt water in your mouth for a minute and then spitting it out? Sometimes that helps if there's bacteria there?

When I have ulcers in my mouth, I used Listerine off and on through the day when the pain gets to being too much. That helps. I don't know about tooth ache tho.

I made an appointment to see the dentist but there wasn't anything until the 24th March. It's for a full examination to see what work would be needed to be done. $195 NZD just for the exam and then whatever works needs to be done 😂

So yeah it's not going to fix my tooth ache but at least I'll get an idea of what work will need to be done.
