This limit they have on their website usage is highly annoying.. They should of known having the Celtics VS Lakers and the World cup that records where going to be broken(tweeting wise) and as well as HIGH usage.. Plus this company Twitter Inc probably makes more money than Facebook. How come they cannot afford a better host? Oohh wait how about they just host themselves?

So you're saying it sucks just because of website usage?

Weak.

@Mr.Green yes I am as it is one of the most popular Social networking which means it should learn to hold more users as knowing it will gain tons of tweets/usage daily we should hardly see the error area.

And your weak for saying that usage doesn't count.. If FP was going slow everyone would complain..

I dislike how they only let people follow 2000 members since some people might want to follow more users.

But, I do notice Twitter to be down more compared to other sites I go to like Youtube, FB, etc.

Sooo the fact that they are getting over a million tweets a second (or something stupid like that) at normal times, and when it goes up by probably 25% they can't cope it's a problem?

Well, I'd like to see someone else build a site to cope with 1million database write/read requests a second!

Twitter don't make any money at the moment, they rely solely on sponsorship. 🙂

I heard on the news there are sponsored twetts in the search results from advertisers like Best Buy.

Site usage is not a valid reason why Twitter sucks. You should say their host sucks; not Twitter itself. If you're going to say Twitter 'sucks' just because it gets overloaded with the amount of people using it, then you probably don't know much about Twitter at all. I'd suggest coming up with reasons that are actually appropriate, such as froggyboy's reason:

I dislike how they only let people follow 2000 members since some people might want to follow more users.

Erm... Do you have proof of this? I know people with over 2k followers!

The people with over 2000 followers had over 2000 followers before Twitter implemented the rule. Only new accounts are affected by this rule.

When was it implemented & do you have a link to where this was announced?

I'm not going to sit and go through pages, nor am I going to research something that you have stated but can't backup with evidence.

Did I not give you any evidence?

You can go ahead and believe what you want. If your ignorance keeps you from acknowledging the truth, then this conversation is over.

Twitter makes tons of money through such things as.. When someone makes a commercial uses their logo they make money off that..

I don't think many people pay for commercial use of Twitter logo. 😉

@Mr. Green - first link went to Google: "Twitter" 😉 😛

And companies are legally required to pay royalties when using other companies' logos in advertising.

I can back him up: http://help.twitter.com/entries/15364

In actual fact, reading the ToS, and other documentation which are essential, before signing up is your responsibility and if you missed links going towards the "Following Rules and Best Practices" page, then its your issue.

I really think I am just tired of hearing people complain all the time, so I did not understand this.

I also find the 140 character limit kind of annoying. I think it be cool if they made the limit 160-200 characters.

They do that because it was the original limit for characters on an SMS text message. And it is sorta their 'signature' now.
