Thanks, I'll check it out later.juststeven said:Use and customize this http://yourls.org/. That's what I did. And if I can edit it, it must be easy 😛
I am not knowledgeable of that, I'd probably hire someone to do it. Is it easy to make custom URLs too?Patrick S. said:They are way to easy to make by yourself.
Most anyone one that knows PHP and SQL can easily make one in a half hour .
Ah okay 🙂 I'll find myself a suitable domain and look into it, thanks for your help 🙂Patrick S. said:You could always buy one like Darthmaul said. 😉
Ya it's easy to do custom URLs also.
I made one a while back took me less then three hours and 90% of the work was design.
That is what I'll do 🙂Nathan said:Well in my personal opinion, if you don't know how to make one, then yes it is difficult.

But generally, no, they're quite easy to make, provided you know how.

Look up 'php academy' on YouTube he has A tutorial on this.
If it won't be public, why don't you just use one of the already established services such as bit.ly?Flux said:don't want it to be public either, just for my own use.
I want it to be a domain that people will recognise and associate with my website; when you see goo.gl you instantly think of Google. I'd rather keep it in a 'house style' if you like and go with a domain that would represent LevelUnlocked.net.Fergal said:If it won't be public, why don't you just use one of the already established services such as bit.ly?Flux said:don't want it to be public either, just for my own use.
Trying to make one yourself sounds like something I'd do, but in reality it would be much easier and cheaper to use an existing one.
It would be used to shorten domains.uwajim said:Why would you want to buy a domain for private use?
