Using FileZilla

I just purchased a domain name, hosting plan, and have a phpBB template that I want hosted. I have installed FileZilla and now I don't know what to name the files to make them appear at the website.

Explain more, about the files.
You can upload the phpBB files by going to Public_html folder and adding all your phpBB files there, or if you want you can create a new folder called / forum inside the Public_html

You do not rename the files. If you do that, your website will not appear properly. Just upload them to the root directory via Filezilla.

It would be easier to use Softaculous or auto installers to install a software if your hosting provides that. But yes, You can manually install it easily too. The links from MrJohn should be useful to you.

Softaculous doesn't have the latest forum softwares.

I installed phpBB3 but now it wont direct to my webpage. It has an error. How do I make it go to my home page. My filezilla page has the following files in it..

I know there needs to be an index.html or something somewhere.

There is no index.html in phpBB. It is index.php.

I am lost. The file should be at like www.site.com/index.php. So that would be in the public_html area.

Why not post a screenshot of where you uploaded this to?
