you are talking about a breathing human being or not? because i doubt that a pig would be that ''dangerous''...
pigs are on kid farms all over the place, if they would eat humans that easily i dont think kids could get near pigs....

¬_¬

yes animals like lions and wolfs would eat us but not every single animal will .... only if they do find a body thats not alive anymore (obviously)

so making fun of my saying ''i care for animals''
is not as funny as it looks like folks.

and yay for Andrej :cheer:

I wasnt making fun of you , I was just saying its nature. No a pig would not eat a breathing human, but that is because it cant, hence me saying "if they had the chance." It doesnt change the fact that it would eat a human.

According to this show, better not sleep near a pig:

I love animals too by the way, but nature can be scary 😱

It's just the food chain, Lions eat Zebras, we eat pigs. We're just another animal in the chain that's all.

But being a vegetarian is a personal choice and I respect it regardless.

i don't understand how so many people (just talking in general) can only care about themselves and not the other beautiful creatures that live in this planet.

1. There's more to caring about animals then just not eating them. You could in theory choose to torture and butcher animals then discard them when you are done and still be a vegetarian.

2. The reason why animals are eaten for food among other things is to control their population. Animals don't have a grasp over the concept of overpopulation as they will continue to bring more and more of their kind into the world regardless if they will have food or not available to them. This is why the eating of animals by us as well as the other animals ensures that none of them overpopulate the Earth. We on the other hand DO have a grasp on this concept and can control both our population as well as our food supply if we so wish to do so.

3. If all human beings stopped eating meat, the other animals will continue to kill and eat them anyway because they don't grasp the idea that anything should be cared for outside of themselves and their young.

I really don't care what anyone else eats as it's their choice and not one that will affect me in any way. As for the poll, I voted no.

lol no

It may not be their intention but that's what they end up doing. When an animal is introduced into a place in which they have no predators, they overpopulate and greatly reduce the food supply of everything that is normally found there. That is why we make such an effort to prevent introducing animals into areas they do not normally live in.

I'm not a vegeterian either.

-- May 2nd, 2013, 12:39 pm --

I'm not a vegeterian either.

This is my view, exactly. Eating meat seems pretty natural to me, so I do it, and I enjoy it. But if it bothers your conscience and you prefer not to, don't. I'm not going to tell you how to live. 🙂

I have been a vegetarian for ethical reasons for about seven weeks now.

I am on an animal cruelty-free vegetarian diet. The idea is that while I consume no meat, I also refrain from consuming dairy and egg products that come from organic farms that treat their dairy cows or chickens poorly and slaughter them after declination in production. I consume dairy very rarely anyway, and the eggs that I get are from farms that treat their chickens like pets and don't slaughter them.

My purpose of becoming a vegetarian is to not promote animal cruelty, however some vegans complain that eggs and dairy come from farms that don't treat their animals well so even vegetarians are promoting animal cruelty to an extent, so in response, I only get any animal products that I do consume from farms that treat their animals like pets and don't slaughter them.

Also, I have noticed that the eggs that come from farms that treat their chickens well and don't slaughter them taste MUCH better than those cheap caged eggs you get at supermarkets, or even cage-free. Standard cage-free usually isn't that good either as the regulations, at least in my state, say that if you let your chickens out for 15 minutes, they are cage-free. Yeah...that is practically not...

I KNOW RIGHT
good for you!

when i see photos of chickens being abuse and getting things inside them just so they give more meat or something when they are....
iLWjzlLwTm7cD.gif

JUST HORRIBLE
so many animals get abused, not treated right
let alone the fact a lot of animals get killed for their meat while they are still breathing
SERIOUSLY
thats really cold

i mean, if a human gets killed just like that.... then its murder and the one who did it gets to go to prison or gets to be dead himself in worse cases....

but when a human kills an animal just like that............. others laugh about it or just ignore it and nothing happens?
we humans (most of us) do not show even 1% respect to the other creatures on this planet
....
that made me stronger and not to give up on being a vegetarian.... no matter how good meat can taste

(another example; it sickens me that when an animal gets loose in a zoo and perhaps bites a kid or a parent.... the animal gets killed cause of it but the other way around.... it doesn't matter? oh please  )
