How do you update your forums version like 3.7, 1.5, 2.3, etc.

You mean when people say "OH my forum is now version 1.7! Come now!"

Like that?

Yes, I think so.

For example, ForuMansion is 3.7
It says it in the top left hand corner.

It's nothing, it's an edited site title. In other words each update they do they make it numbers for example:

Actually a phpBB mod would be an excellent example:

So a phpBB mod is just released under dev, then there's some progress on it and they release it to BETA 1 for example, then a new progression takes place and they upgrade it to BETA 2.

It doesn't mean they've updated the forum software or anything, it's just numbers in place for new stuff; such as updates, post counts, topics, rules etc. 😉.

Hope i explained it clearly 🙂.

Is there a list somewhere telling you when to update it and what for?
Can you update it in the ACP?

I don't know as ive never used ForuMotion before, however im sure you can edit the title 😉.

It's really up to you, personally i don't like the numbers and ive made a topic on PS which has gotten quite a few replies 😉

Can I have a link to the topic?

Nathan is right, it is just saying they have updated their site, like if they have a massive overhaul, an easier way of saying it is version 2.0 or something.
