Well, it passed

Why do you guys care? It gives health care to those less fortunate to have paid heath care like me. all this socialist stuff, guys, get real, seriously 😛
There is no "free stuff". Someone ahs to pay for everything, and in this case, the one paying for it are you and me, and later generations. Such things colelct national debts which must be paid, eventually, through taxes. We owe various people $12,000,000,000,000. They will not say "hey, your $12 trillion dollars is on the house!"
Of course, we do pay it back in taxes, it isn't all free, but is covers everyone. I didn't say it was free. I don't mind paying a little extra in taxes to ensure everyone has decent health care.

You don't just pay a little, you pay a lot. And the more people who have health care, the less health care you get yourself. With more people, you have overcrowding of hospitals and rashioning of care. This is where "Death panels" come in.

None of this would be an issue if rich people actually paid taxes.

If the rich had to sacrifice all their earnings then what would the incentive to become rich mean? Many people innovate because their innovation has its rewards. In a communist system where the rich pay most of their earnings to "spread the wealth" there is no productivity because there are no rewards for productivity. This is why capitalism is successful.

Would you mind offering some proof that capitalism is successful? I honestly don't see any.

I know nothing of cars. Would you mind telling me which country produced it?

If it wasn't for capitalism, you would be a feudal peasant. The very computer you are using was made by Bill gates (or steeve jobs, or someone like that). All the conveniences which you and I are spoiled on are because of capitalism. You have everything to thank capitalism for.

"Capitalism" has never existed. Unless you support abolishing the government-paid police and firefighter forces, then you're not a capitalist.

In a purely capitalistic society, everything is privately owned. Thus, having a government-paid force of police and firefighters is a socialist idea.

Regardless, you are saying that capitalism has done nothing good. Our country is a democratic republic: in a democracy, everyone votes on everything. In a republic, you only vote for representatives. Our society is a mixture. This mixture must be maintained, so socializing things will mess up the balance and turn us into this:

So you're saying that a universal health care system will turn us into a communist nation that produces nothing? Have you taken a look at Japan lately?

This health care bill will destroy the health care industry, making that socialized.

An industry that deals with whether people live or die should NOT be about profit.

If it isn't about cost then that means we would have massive national debts and eventually become Chinese slaves. Once, hundreds of years ago, it was believed that education should not be for profit. The early university teachers starved because they only survived on student donations and could not ask for anything nor convey their need. Health care costs $$$. How do we get this $$$?

You have to pay much higher taxes in those places. Also they tend to have less people, so it's less expensive.
