What are your thoughts on Online Banking? Do you think it is safe? Do you use it?

I enjoy being able to do my banking online. Sure does help to know how much I have, without having to go to the bank.

My family does not like online banking there are risks

I use it all the time as well as the app my bank comes with.

I think that online banking is perfectly safe as long as you take the proper precautions like keeping your antivirus up to date, staying away from shady websites, not sharing your password, etc. :3

Use a password manager and install an anti-virus, as others said. I'd recommend disabling it if you never use it, also. There's no use having it if you don't use it.

Online banking is the best that we have today. Long queues and sitting the whole day long in banks usually made me sick in my childhood.

Online banking is an easy way to manage your bank accounts, Transactions, bill payments, online shopping and many more.
In today's busy schedule every person prefer online banking.

I think it's very safe to use. My husband uses it for our joint account, and we've had no problems so far. It's so convenient, checking your bank balance in the comfort of your own home, and in a matter of seconds. 😀

Never used it and I don't put my CC's online either.

Used it for years. It's a great way to keep an eye on your money. What is going in or out that bit quicker than if you are just waiting for a statement. If somebody manages to get a hold of your card and start to use it and you have online banking that you check regularly then you can report it quicker.

Obviously you have to be very careful that you have your PC secured with a good anti virus and firewall and keep your password private.

I wouldn't like to be without it that's for sure.

I think it is great because of a few things. One thing is account-monitoring it keeps an eye on checking and saving accounts. You have to make sure your password is strong enough. Also an anywhere time thing, where you can check your balance, pay a bill or transfer funds between accounts no matter where you are in the world. This means you can pay a bill on your holiday's. I also like the free money management tools because it is free. There are downsides to this like you need a good PC to do it otherwise you're going to get hacked. How about switching banks? It's harder to do that online because if you don't use online banking then you can go to a bank and change that. You also have to move online paying arrangements to another bank!

I like it but I feel like you're more vulnerable when you use online banking.

I am pretty old fashioned, but I do a little bit online, I am very careful though. Even with the best protection software and passwords, anyone can get in at anytime.

I like it because it's convenient, it helps me solve problems more quickly, very convenient, do not need to go anywhere to sit one place can also perform transactions. Online banking is the best.

I use online banking all the time and haven't had any problems on my end, except the occasional 'This service is down for maintenance' that I get every now and then.

I always use Online Banking. I think it has many convenient things for me.
I don't think it's safe 100%. I only decrease risk by using an antivirus software for my computer.

This is the kind of thing that I expect to see every time online banking is discussed. If you choose not to do online banking because you prefer to do it physically, then that is a perfectly fine thing to say; because it's a personal preference, but reasoning like these are absolutely ridiculous. If you're not going to do something because there are risks, then why are you doing something at all? You could walk outside right...now and and be mauled by a bear, or get hit by a truck, there are risks everywhere.

Additionally, what makes online banking any less secure than offline banking; I'd really like to know, to be honest with you. There are billions of pounds, dollars, whatever, being spent on cyber security and you still think that it's insecure? Wonderful job. I can tell you that there have been more physical bank robberies, or just thefts in general than there have been online robberies, additionally, you're not going to get stabbed or shot if someone does decide to try and rob something from you online, you're not in physical danger.

If you have been hit by an online robbery, maybe you're using the wrong websites. Because websites that are legitimate are pretty easy to spot, and they https:// in the address bar, or the SSL certificate padlock isn't hard to see. This means that you should one; learn how to spot these things, and two; bump up your internet security.

I think online banking is incredible. I recently transferred some money to a friend for their birthday through the TSB bank and it was super fast. They phoned me for verification; all in all I think Online Banking is great!
