What business skills do you bring to a staff team or to the forum if you're the owner?
 
When it comes to skills that I bring to the team I would have to say it depends on what part of the staff I am on.

For example, if I own a forum then I bring skills such as understanding the back end of the forum and also having writing skills as well as management skills as well.

As a moderator, I have the skills in terms of able to manage the front end of the forum and being able to warn members if needed and even send professional PMs to people if needed.

In terms of something say package team then I have the writing skills for that plus the time management as well.
 
Knowledge and education I reckon on my part.

I have an MBA and business experience as I own a few of them. I was a business agent in my last job.

I know a lot about running communities and teams.

I treat forums like their businesses but without integrating business terms and common identifiers if that makes sense.

I feel like when you treat projects like a business (even if you don't intend to profit), you'll be more motivated to continue doing it.
