Hello,

What do you think is the best forum software for SEO?

As you all know SEO is important to a forum so which one do you think gives the best results?

xenforo, it comes with urls that are user and SE friendly. Its built in feature. Also the software looks great, minus is that it costs 140$.

Are you looking for the software to create a forum which is SEO friendly? If yes, then vBulletin is one of the best forum software package developed by vBulletin solutions.

Most forums use phpBB, MYBB or vBulletin. They're so widely used that Google must have special classifiers for extracting info from them. So I doubt much SEO is actually needed, lest it appears the forum is over-optimised.

I assume the same. I've generally assumed so because phpBB forums generally don't have the most SEO-friendly URLs.

Xenforo and probably phpBB and MyBB, even SMF could work out well I think. Right now I am using SMF and it does the job for me.

For SEO I think it is xenforo as it comes with Friendly URLs which is good for SEO.

AS far as software goes, I hear supposedly Xenforo is supposed to have great SEO compared to other software. It's what i hear and I am not sure if it is true or not(though i did notice slightly better ranking when we did use them).

That being said, I really don't think software is a big part of what helps with SEO and it deals more with your content of your site.

Don't get hung up on SEO and instead focus on the product that's right for the community you want to build. After that focus on content.

Trying to fool Google into ranking sites higher on false pretenses isn't going to work. Those days are gone.

IP.Board is getting way better then before, it has an full SEO page in the admin panel

I don't think SEO should be the focus of forum software, if you know what you are doing the forum software don't matter you can get SEO done.
