What lead you to create your Forum?

Great stroies everyone, really enjoying all the insight and detail.

And, I found something pretty funny. This is was from the first forum i ever joined, and to quote from my original post in this topic.

I created my Forum on impulse.
Here's the scoop of when i first played Brawl, and on the next page, decided to make a forum about it 😀

^^^ There it is, the Brawl Domain's true "origin"! 😳

I had been a member of http://fantasywriters.18.forumer.com for a few months, and it sort of curled up and died. I had very unprofessional staff and I even got banned from it once (I had my account later restored) because one of the admins was high. Predictably these sort of episodes led to the forum becoming inactive and it was shut down.

I decided to set up my own forum and hopefully do a better job. I had been a co-admin on a few forums before, but I had never set my own forum from scratch. I hadn't got a credit card, so paid hosting was out of the question. I looked on a few hosting review sites and Zetaboards was ranked as the best. I registered my board there.

It got up to a rocky start as I made a fair few mistakes at first. In fact, everything that could have gone wrong did. Zetaboards had a server one outage when I officially opened it 🙂 But now it seems to have pulled through and we are now at one hundred members so I'd safely say it's a success.

When I read that, I thought you meant the messup where topic-viewing/posting was impossible.

i wanted to be admin and idk i grew bored

Now, for the serious part:

It came down to me taking an interest in politics, and looking for political forums, but the ones I found were too large and had such poor themes and designs, so I went to the Admin Zone and asked if anyone would be interested in starting one with me, and my co-admin and I started it, and it's pretty successful now!

That came a few weeks in as well 🙂 It scared a few people off all right.
