What was your first forum about? How long did you have it and what software was it?

The first forum I technically remember having, was a forum with the slug "utopia89015", as I was obsessed with a utopia state, and my zip code at the time. It was a general talk forum that I had 1 member who consistently came back to the forum, regardless of how much I changed it.

My first forum was a proboards forum back in the mid 2000's. I was just a small off-topic forum where a handful of us would chat. Slowly people disappeared one by one (including myself) so I eventually shut it down. It was fun while it lasted.

Now I can't stand proboards but I would consider joining a proboards forum if the people & atmosphere were good.

My first owned forum was running from Enjin with an gaming role-playing community, I even had an domain for it that I still have today. It was an invite/ join thing and members had to be the real deal member to able to use the forum however not much posting going around as we had Teamspeak.

Then one day I moved it to WordPress as Enjin wasn't giving what I was wanted, www.baysideves.com was the site. and had it since 2013

After that BaysideGamers started .

Still in contact with that guy?

I first started a debate forum and it was running a pretty basic forumotion default theme. I owned it for around 6 months 😀

No, lost contact about 6 years ago, as the person disappeared from the forum one day.

post2vps 2012-2016 (originally used mybb 1.6) was a forum that gave people a vps in return for posting on the forum.
I re-branded it to worldofmatthew in 2016 to try to give it some new life but in it's finel months the forum was only getting about one to two post per month:

Anyway I put up a static archive here: http://archive.worldofmatthew.info/womforum/

I Started this forum http://www.triumphtalk.com/ around 2006 and at that time I used what has now become Zeta Boards, then I moved over to vBulletin and now XenForo.

Between this I have had a load of other forums but my good old faithful motorcycle forum just seems to move along.

My first forum was gfxforums.net - a graphic/web design forum. It started on MyBB and then converted to XenForo.
After a few years and 300,000 posts later, the niche was all buy dead. Most competing forums had closed and after trying to keep it alive for a while, I joined them in the graveyard of graphic design forums.

It was a great success for a first forum.

Here it is just a few weeks after opening,

And later in 2011,
