Where do you get your music?

I get most of my music from buying CD's from charity shops and other shops. 🙂

I also use Spotify to make playlists and Youtube to find other bands who might not be on Spotify.

Each way has it's advantages really.

I don't really pay for mine I use either iTunes Radio or youtube.

YouTube, and links in the descriptions on YouTube to download sites like MediaFire, DropBox, MegaUpload and other free file sharing networks.

I also use music social networking sites like Last.fm , Purevolume.com , Soundclick.com , and other websites.

I also sometimes buy music online from online MP3 stores which sells to Canadians.

I used to buy CDs, but not any more since I live kind of far away from record stores. Now, I use Amazon.com to buy CDs if I really like the artist.

I usually use sites like youtube-mp3.org I still purchase physical copies of CDs. I only use sites like that if there are songs I really want but nobody has them whether it be bonus tracks on an album or imports. I used to use 4Shared sometimes, but I like youtube-mp3 better, really.

I purchase albums on iTunes and listen to the music via playlists. I mostly discover new music by hearing something I like on the radio, then looking up the artist's albums.

sometimes youtube
sometimes iTunes
when I hear a random song on tv or radio, I'll find it on google :nyan:

Most of the time I buy it from Google Play or iTunes, but I also listen to online internet radios. I don't buy cd's anymore really.

YOUTUBE. 😀

I have recently installed Spotify though, and I'm beginning to like it and get some new music from there. It's amazing what you miss when you're only on Youtube.

As an artist myself, I found this thread interesting. I purchase the music from an artist wherever they sell it (most of the time it's from bandcamp). For a lot of artists, especially the independents out there, it directly helps them to keep creating. Plus I know that, regardless of what may happen to a site or service, I can still access the music online or offline.

By the way, excellent forum. I'm new here and I like the design, layout, and flow. I can tell you guys took time with it. Quality work. I usually just browse quietly on forums, but decided to jump in this time.

I've been playing around with Spotify some. I'm not a huge fan of their UI though. I think, going forward, I'll use Apple Music + iTunes for most of my personal music, and Spotify for listening to others' playlists. iTunes makes things easier to organize in my opinion, but Spotify is much more social.

streaming from services like spotify, youtube, tidal, etc.

i know the artists are trying to say streaming is evil because they dont get paid very much but its easier for me to afford that way.
