(Examples include GNOME 3, KDE, Cinnamon, MATE, XFCE4, etc).

I personally like Cinnamon. It just pleases me how it's designed, even if it's based on GNOME 3, which I highly dislike.

I use Lubuntu which uses the LXDE (Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment) desktop environment which is very lightweight and basic looking GUI.

I prefer to use GUI which use the least amount of CPU, RAM, and video card resources as possible, so the GUI and programs run faster.

I use Ubuntu VPS which comes with Ubuntu-Desktop (GNOME based). If I've a low-end VPS, then I would go with LXDE because it is super light weight desktop environment.

Meanwhile, I got a Windows VPS 😛

I always thought most servers use a command line based GUI/user interface similar to MS-DOS to save RAM, and CPU resources, so the server can handle more visitors/users at any given time.

Gnome now its getting really good but lxde for som people its more simple and better
