I was planning on using the i think it's called "bd banking" or something along those lines. I am sure you have seen it before.

That will track the points per posts and thread then for the extra stuff that will be a bit of work on my end manually giving people points for the bonuses.

It won't be too bad though, I will allow the main thread to be used to say if someone has done something for bonus points then I will only have to take a few seconds to check.


I will be finalizing the details over the next week.

Haha, well I'm hoping for a mad house but at the same time I don't want people to not participate because they think there's too many users. Maybe I'll figure some nice runner up prizes. 🙂

I would jump in on this...I could use a better forum software then phpbb...Xenforo has a lot of features. I'd like to have a VB license as well. Yet with my limited funds at the moment. All I can work with is phpbb. I will be keeping an eye out for this one. Runner up prizes could be Amazon gift cards, maybe a domain name of your choice, or could pay for a X amount of months hosting for someone. Just some ideas

Personally I think its a great idea to give out a paid software as a prize for a contest, and if it was anything but xenforo I would maybe participate, but I don't like xenforo so I wouldn't participate. So me personally? No. Lot's of others would though, I know that. 😉

Just a couple days of ending now. Things are going great.
Today we hit 700 members, last night we hit 3,000 threads and a couple days before that we hit 20,000 posts. 🙂

Just curious - how many posts/threads/members did you gain since the start of the competition?

I honestly don't have the exact numbers. I believe we were around 15,000 posts, possibly lower 14,000. I am unsure about the member total though I believe we were 620-635 area.

Since adminpeak is at a formidable 21,000 posts that would be 6,500 since the start of the contest. Let's say 3000 would have been made anyway so $140 /3500= .04 per post which makes contests well worth it. That's just the basic financials though (not including second or third prizes which would make it around 4.5 cents), the loyalty gained to AP from this contest will be enormous 😀 So great job Karoshio 🙂
