Why are you sick of new promotion forums ?

Because they don't have anything new to offer. It is always the same, even if do and add anything unique, it hardly lasts. I mean what is the point of making a promotion when FP is around? Everyone will go to FP because it's the biggest and the one that has the most to offer. Any promotion forum that try and copy FP anyway will fail. Always fail. For a new promotion forum to work it has to have something unique and it has to be a big deal to beat FP.

I am not sick of them but I can relate with a lot of what has been said. My recommendations for people starting in this niche, besides the get something unique or bring a twist, are:
- Stick with it enough to give it a chance to grow.
- Test your models before releasing to the public.
- Make sure you have staff ready from the very beginning.

Because most of the time they are 13 year old kids running on free forum hosts that want to get the forum active and slap on advertisements to try and make a few cents and then get discouraged when no one joins and closes it down with a huge announcement a week later like they have been around for years.
It's the same services, same ideas, mostly same people because the only members that really join are from other promotions forums from the "services".

There is on 13 year old active user here on FP 🙂 But she's different. not all 13 year old are like that it's down to there knowledge and understandable. most of them are learning from there mistake
By the way this is the 13 year old who I was talking about HAHA,,
They die out a month later and the admins blame time and money as to why the site isn't working out. 😛 They're all copy cats of each other - it's tiring seeing the same old thing everywhere in the forum world.

If people want to go and build a terrible site which no one will ever use, who am I to complain? You can't help people who don't want to help themselves. And this is true for a lot more things than just this in general.
I think a lot of the time, people are just bored and want to try their hand at the whole administration thing. They see a promotion site, and then, they imitate it. As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I personally think there should be only one promotion forum, and it's this one right there. It has everything you need, and has been around for over a decade, when forums were a thing. Why make another?

Same here. Every other one I've seen have either flopped miserably or there wasn't much dedication to it.
I saw one, adminforums.org
But it was sold to the wrong person. It's now all completely shut down.
adminforums.org was the real challenge to ForumPromotion. I loved it, on xenForo, great skin, great people, it has their downs, but overall it was a great community.
TAZ is another one, but I doubt many people here know about it.
