A member of a Rock Forum may only be a member of one Rock forum overall. A member of a promotion forum may be a member of 7 others too.

Although i do feel there are alot of promotion forums appearing all of a sudden. I dont think the downfall is to do with the competition i think its to do with the admins not doing all they can to keep it running

I don't think this is true. Not all promotion forums get amazing amounts of activity, but it is a lot easier to get activity on a promotion forum than any other type of forum (in the beginning, anyway; lasting activity is another matter entirely, as it is for almost any type of forum). For example, if you're starting a gaming forum, you'll find that most people have already found a gaming forum that they like to contribute to. However, promotion forums are a little different because people want to advertise as much as possible, so they often register on several different promotion forums.
