I have Vista Premium, what is all the hype with windows 7?


Does anyone know if there is a dual boot screen for vista or is that just for xp?

Windows 7 boots and runs faster on slower PC with only 1 GB of RAM, and has fewer pop-up notification screens then Vista. Plus the toolbar and Windows looks nicer.

This guy successfully made a dual boot Vista and XP system.

I have windows 7 ultimate 64-bit and have no complaints about it. When I was running vista it froze a few times and the User account control feature was very annoying, but microsoft have simplified the system and made it faster and more visually appealing.

I have windows 7 also! 🙂 Its great! But my labtop costs $800... It has 4GB Ram and the Windows 7 Home Premium. With Premium Graphics! 😀 Its so awsome. =]

Sounds like a very nice laptop. Are you using the 64bit version of Windows 7?

Windows 7 is just a watered down user friendly version of vista and for someone like me who knows what hes doing with computers I dont need microsoft holding my hand every step of the way or making it painfully obvious how to do things with the cost of performance.

Nope no thank you, i think i will be sticking with vista 🙂

I hate XP. So Im getting Windows 7. We can get it from my school for $30. 🙂
