Personally Microsoft is trying to gain as much money as it can to as it stated "We plan on bringing The xbox 720 out in the next couple years" It's just bringing in money so they can produce their next console 🙂
 
They should have just stuck to updating XP. They did it right in 2001.

I know that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever from a business standpoint, but I can dream, can't I? xD
 
Development on Windows 8 has begon since 2 months before Windows 7's release

Looks cool and I am totally looking forward to it. 🙂 I can't find a download link, but if you preview Windows 8, are you able to switch back to Windows 7? Do you need a download disk? Please answer these questions.
 
May you switch back to Windows 7 at any time? Do you need a download disk? I would like to know these things. :O
 
Since it's only really alpha testing for Devolpers I would be cautious about using it.As far as your question Hiocie i don't know i haven't got into it that much yet.

You can just setup a sepreate partition for windows 8 so you do not need to erase windows 7.

As for your question it is a no.

You need to burn the ISO file to a DVD disc.
