Windows 8

You can use Virtualization software like VirtualBox by Oracle, VMware Player, or VMWare Workstation to quickly test out Windows 8. Although, the 3D, and animations may not work at all or very well, but you don't risk messing up your hard drive partitions causing data lost or corruption, or master file table during the install on a Virtual machine.

I don't like it, won't be good for school because of the social part and it generally lost the Windows Touch.

I don't like the new Ribbon/tab controls on the Windows Explorer for 8, and weird Windows Phone 7 tiled desktops with all the tiles on it with information on it.

You need to burn the ISO file to a DVD disc.

I'll do it. 😉
I know what burning a disk means. Apparently this is a lie:

May you switch back to Windows 7 at any time? Do you need a download disk? I would like to know these things. :O
You can just setup a sepreate partition for windows 8 so you do not need to erase windows 7.

As for your question it is a no.
I wouldn't set up a virtual machine if my life depended on it. Virtual machines are worthless and have no value.

Virtual Machines are awesome for testing antivirus software, application software like Firefox and beta software for office suites like Microsoft Office!

Virtual Machines have been a valuable tool for me for software testing.

Incorrect you can get 3D with both by installing the guest tools or whatever its called.

 I don't get it.

I only got my Windows 7 laptop last April (2010). I don't see myself upgrading any time soon. Six years from now perhaps, but definitely not now. I remember reading a topic, I think it was on this forum, where someone had brought up how Microsoft seems to be going in a pattern with computers. One year a model is really good and possibly even goes beyond expectations, the next year a model could seriously suck and be full of loopholes and security problems, next year could produce results like that of year one, and yeah, you get the picture.

FYI you'll probably be able to just upgrade for a fee like they did for Vista SP3 (7).

I watched a YouTube video showing the new interface and decided that I'm sticking to Windows 7. I'll probably install it on a dummy computer just to mess around with it, but I seriously think that I'll hate the new interface. I use Windows because it's powerful and has a much better interface than any other operating system.

I will most likely stick with Win 7 also. Windows 8 looks nice with all the new features and all, but it's really not worth the switch unless there's something exceptional or something that you NEED on Win 8.

I probably get Windows 8 since my Windows 7 computer is kind of old, and by the time I can afford to buy a new computer. I bet most of them will be pre-installed with Windows 8 instead of 7 once Windows 8 is released.

I bet there would probably be a hack, or program made by a third-party software developer which makes Windows 8 look and feel like Windows 7.

I'm still pretty satisfied with Windows 7, and Windows Vista which run pretty good on my Laptop with 4GB of RAM and 2GHz dual core Intel CPU.

They made it in mind to run on tablets. So I think there will be less computers and more small squares.

Meh, I would, but I'm pretty happy with what I have, though. If I recall correctly, wasn't 8 supposed to have those touch screen things or something?

I won't like the new Windows 8, at least, from what I read off of Wikipedia. Maybe 7 will become like XP was, and 8 will become like Vista was? Hah. Also what kind of file system name is Protogon?

tried it last week, its terrible. it took almost forever before it has fully boot. 😀
