So, the comments don't seem to show up even though I've set them to "comments appear after being approved once", is it a common problem on it? And trying to figure this one out, but at my wits' ends to. And its not working out properly.

Hmm...I can't say that I've personally ever had this issue. Are you using WordPress .com or is it self-hosted? Are you using the default commenting system? What are your settings set to? Have you done any editing that may cause some sort of conflict?

Today I visited a .com WordPress blog, even leaving comments in some of the posts, but nothing was wrong. Perhaps it was a slight glitch from WordPress themselves? Or maybe there is another setting you must alter?

I noticed that you don't have, "Comment author must have a previously approved comment" checked off. Have you always had that not checked off? That could be what's doing it.

Yuppers, just click it (to check it off) and that should solve the having to constantly moderate the comments problem.

What does it spam? Do you have a link or a screen shot of exactly what's happening? I thought you were having issues with you having to moderate every comment like you said above.

I really just need to know what you mean by "it's spamming them." Spamming what exactly? Spamming you with emails, making multiples of the same comment? You're being really vague, lol.

Ooh, you mean it's labeling comments as "spam" and putting them into the spam queue. That's just the Akismet, which is just doing its job--trying to protect your blog from spammers. Some of the comments being posted may be spam so you probably want to be careful with who you're approving. It does make mistakes, so you'll just have to mark them as "not spam." After you've deemed someone as "not spam" they should not be put into the spam queue anymore.
nop, see thats the problem here, I approve it once, like approve them, and then the second time, it still does the same thing. And it does so with every comment, not just some and thats kinda getting my goat up a wee bit.
