This is exactly what I think! It's costly and the add ons boost up that cost way too much.

The stupid fees to remove the addon copyright notices. I'm happy to pay for that but when it costs the same or double the addon price, it's just a joke really.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of branding on addons at all.

Upgrades to the core aren’t bad. Some addons are way overpriced IMO.

For us regular old joe's just hosting sites as a hobby it would be nice to see something more informative then this ( Opps we ran into problems ) when there is an issue.

Yes i have seen much worse than that however that alone makes the footer look bad, maybe the dev's can come up with a better place to put the links if they must.

It's been discussed to death over there. Honestly, the addon developers just need to increase their prices slightly to offset the branding removal costs.

I have sites on IPS and XenForo some app's on IPS have the same branding on the footer, more of the theme creators there than the apps.

Depends on the theme I say, some themes have overkill branding in their footer and others have simple text on the Conor.

thought about paying to remove all that, but most of those addons vanish, then you have to get different ones and have to pay all over. It's burning money really. And I view this as the one bad thing about xenforo, addons that keep on drying a owner up.
