If they've only been registered on your forum for a week, but have been extremely active & kind to other members, would you let them be a global moderator?
I personally wouldn't, and I think it's stupid if you let him/her be one. If your forum is huge, and somebody joins and after a week becomes a global moderator, I doubt you know how to run a forum. It's not smart to make new people a moderator, simply because you don't know them enough yet. If you're going to judge how a person is in just week of knowing him/her, you probably won't get far.
UNLESS the person is a good friend of yours whom you've known for a long time or you know him/her in real life.
But if a person you've never met before joins and gets a moderator spot like a week after.
What would you say about that? Does longivity matter to you?
