I have done this in my 20's. I got funding for college education and bought a bunch of things for my computer. I bought upgrades, mouse/keyboard, monitor, and a drawing pen/pad for graphics that is rendered useless now.

And gaming is a big investment. So yeah.

I'm sure I spend more than that on my hobbies in a year! Being a gaming nerd will cost you some money. That's between buying games, and buying merchandise based around my favorite games too. Lots of people who build gaming rigs or heck just want to get a new one would probably spend that much if it meant getting a powerful PC.

i spent a lot more in my hobby than 2000 USD. But i'm okay with it, i was sure to be able to spend that much before getting it.

It's even too small for me to spend on my hobby.
