Thinking about it. I'm leaning towards the PS4 though. Both have their drawbacks and their pros. Mostly looking at the used game factor. If I can't play used games on either of them I'll just stick with the PS3, 360, and PC.

The only specs that Microsoft has dropped is that it has 8 GB of ram. (That's all i have found at least)

The Xbox One comes with a 500GB internal Hard drive, and uses an AMD APU which is the CPU and Video chip on one chip/die instead of having a seperate CPU and video card.

I'm not really sure if Xbox One is worth it for me since I mostly enjoy playing simpler games like RPGs, Tower Defense, Real time strategy, and building games which many$499 PC made in 2013 can play without much or any slow down in medium video settings.

I don't see any big interesting things about it. I'm sticking with the 360 and my Laptop for now.

I will get it, but in a year or two since the first f Xbox 360s had hardware problems and I am predicting the same will happen for Xbox One.

If all your family member share the same Xbox One than they will not have to pay fee.

Exactly my thoughts. We will see. I *HATE* the whole no used game concept and will possibly boycott both.
 
The fee for used games really made my decision for me, I buy a lot of my games used. Not impressed.

^I think he is hoping to make a profit from people wanting to buy an Xbox One and PS4, and willing to pay a few extra $100 bills to get it because they were too lazy to pre-order one, or the pre-orders sold out.

I remember when the Wii, and PS3 launched, and people were using eBay, and Craigslists to buy consoles for hundreds more than the retail price.

The Xbox One is also huge compared to the Wii U, and might take up a lot of space in a smaller room.

I'm still undecided on what my next console will be since the Valve Steambox is not out yet, and I read online the Steambox is a game console which runs on Linux with gamepad controller support, and it can be used for runing actual desktop programs like Google Chrome Web browser instead of a limited proprierary web browser found on most consoles.

I might end up buying a Wii U because of its cheaper price, and fun exclusive games like Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Zelda, Kirby, and Metroid prime.
 
Look... Just use the money to buy a Gaming Pc with better hardware, freedom etc. Then buy a Gamepad/controller.
 
There are reports that the Steambox would have Linux PC support, and is not just a console like the PS4, and Xbox One.

If the steambox is reasonably price compared to similar gaming PC without paid operating systems installed on them. Buyers may save money since they won't need to spend $200+ USD on a Windows 8 Pro Retail box license, and sales taxes when buying paid software since the steambox uses Linux which is free and opensource licensed rather than a paid proprietary software license like Windows, and OS X.

Linux also doesn't need an antivirus, and antispyware, so additional money can be saved by not needing to install an antivirus program like eSet NOD32 which is one of the best, lightest, and fasrest antivirus for Windows, but cost $59.99 a year for a 1 year subscription.
 
I am also excited for Steambox since it could mean Steam will work with Nvidia and ATI to finally optimize their video drivers for Linux, or at least make the video drivers work well on Steambox.

Hopefully, it is possible to play existing free-to-play games like Team Fortress 4 on the Steambox for free, and Valve continues selling games for $5 and more on Steambox.
