touchè, but I just looked at vB and noticed version 5 is out, and to be honest it looks not that bad...

Now the court case is over with I can finally start working my nuts of on premium skins and not worry about them becoming worthless if xF had to close.

Yea, if xenforo had lost the case and closed I'd want to sue them for the costs of both my licenses, as it happens they won...as I expected them to. 🙂

I wouldn't have wanted to sue xenForo. I bought all 3 of my licenses to support them through the case. I only use one of my licenses.

I'm curious to know too, but I'm not sure why you're skeptical at all. XF is proceeding with development, and continuing as their own entity not owned by IB or anyone else. That's the important information and we know that for sure. The details and how they got to that point really don't matter to us as customers.

It's the company that makes xenforo what it is, could we really say it would be the same if internet brands owned xenforo? I don't think so.

I didn't buy extra licenses for no reason, it is to help in the continued development of IMHO the best forum software on the internet. A software I love and have been using on my forum since beta. 🙂

Unfortunately it has less features than VB4, it seems to run very slowly (even on vBulletin's own site) and the feedback from VB customers has been extremely negative. However, I do hope they get it sorted out and give customers what they deserve.

I agree, from what I have seen of it is not really that big of an innovation, and as you said Fergal, runs really slow.
