...isn't it just a great site? Although I've never had that much luck asking my own questions there, you can almost guarantee if you search something in Google somewhere down the line somebody has asked the same thing on Yahoo Answers.

In a way I guess it's a little a forum, in that on forums people contene for the highest post / rep count, whilst on Yahoo answers people contend for best answers, in an attempt to win that shiny "Top Contributor" badge.

What are your experiences with Yahoo Answers? Apparenty it's a good promotion method.

I've used Yahoo answers 1/2 times in the past for asking my own questions, Although i use it regularly for finding other answers.

If you need to know the answer to something then yeah give it a try.

The downside is that some idiots can post stupid answers.

I love Yahoo Answers! I always find my questions to be answered, and I answer a few sometimes too.

I think Yahoo answers is great. Many people have tried to copy it, but Yahoo is still the best. You can ask anything on there.. I mean, I've seen some strange questions, but it's brilliant. Even if you want to answer, instead of ask.

I've found that almost any question I have has already been asked/answered on Yahoo Answers.

It's never done anything good in the promotion department though.

I also like to laugh at the mythology questions, like "How do I turn into a mermaid" and such.

That's why you only reference your site when the answer could get found on your site.
I'm currently at 47% best answer and:

Best answers 105

The bad thing is all links are nofollow, but I do get a bit of traffic from there every day.
