What's the youngest staff you ever met in a forum?

Mine was 5 years old and he was very immature.

I had a mod once that was 15. Now I pretty much insist upon maturity, so they are usually 16 or over. I'm 18, my VA is 17, my first global moderator is 19, my second is 26 and my RPG moderator is 17.

More life experience = better in almost all cases.

That is absolutely shocking that a forum even made a 5 year old a moderator. What is even more shocking is parents allowing a 5 year old to moderate a forum where no doubt there is going to be unsuitable content (especially when it comes to spam posts). Surely the parents are supervising them while they are online. If i had a five year old i would not allow them to go anywhere near a forum or use a computer unsupervised especially if it is Youtube, facebook or any forum.

I agree, and I'm not surprised they were immature. I wouldn't have thought they would even of been able to sign up. To be quite honest I think that was rather bad allowing a 5 year old moderating.

Yeah I'm with theezy on this lawl doubt a 5 year old even knows how to work a website..

I doubt this kid even knew how to add sums and subtractions yet. My youngest was ten, I don't regret it he was a great guy and was so useful to the community.

Ehh. My brother has some pretty impressive knowledge of computers, and he's only six years old. xD

I'm not sure how old my youngest staff member was. I've had a lot of young staff members. I don't care one bit about age; it's all about maturity and attitude.

Just gonna throw this out there but aren't you suppose to be of age 13 or older in order to be able to go onto forums or really anything consisting of a social network in order to be able to go on with out some sort of parental consent?

Of course I was like 11 or 12 when I joined my first forum so I can't really say against younger people going on forums and such but still.

Same. I'm 13, so I don't care.

One time, I was on a Mario forum. I was looking at staff applications. This 9 year old girl was bragging about her grammar and maturity. then she says
I even know how to spell tyranisauras.

I just had to say
You CAN be mature, but you surely can't spell "tyrannosaurus"

Not all forums use COPPA.

I run a Teen Forum so I will probably not get someone in their 30s 😛 I like having a teen mind on board. I always have age as an application field just because fresh minds always have great ideas (I have come to find out)

I would have no respect for a forum with a 5 year old as a moderator. Surely they could have gotten someone at least a weebit older?

How can you be sure he was 5 years old? If it was in his profile, then that can be faked etc.

The forum was closed like 3 years ago.

Even though the kid was immature.... he was pretty smart for a 5 years old. He know about computers more than I did 3 years ago.

@Coppa, Anyone can make up an age, maybe it was in a in-side joke that only staff knew. Doubt like I said he was actually 5.

I can't see him really being 5 years old, my grandson is that age, he's a smart kid, he knows how to work the PC but he wouldn't have a clue how to navigate a forum let alone use moderation tools or even write a complete sentence for that matter.

My youngest moderator is 20, my oldest is 45....I think the youngest I would go would be 16 (at a push) No disrespect to the younger generation, especially on FP, I have certainly spoken to some very mature and well educated teens but MadDogz is just not the place for younger people, with low moderation and some adult humour it needs adults to keep it discreetly in check. 🙂

5 for me is laughable how would anyone ever have any respect for them.

On our forum our mods are 32,18 and 17 and our admins are 53,29 and 21

10 is reasonable, but 5 is over the top. I guarantee you the person faked his age or he was a bot.

All I can say is that his profile birthdate said he was 5 years old. I don't know whether it was a joke or not.
