Like I said, he probably pretended his birthdate was 5 years old..... I probably doubt he's 5 years old 'cause he is dang smart for a 5 years old kid.

Generally, I do background checks on people before I hire them. I Google their screen names, e-mail addresses, real names (if they give them). I want to make sure they are as genuine as possible. I also hold interviews over IM.

A few people accused me of stalking them, but hell, they put it out online.

Yeah, according to FP, several members are aged one or younger. Doesn't mean anything.

No we don't. This is not a real concrete topic. We don't know if the person who is on staff is really that age so it is up to the administrator to make that decision on whether or not the person is actually the age they are. Sure, it can all be faked, but lets just humor the topic.

I think young staff is good or bad depending upon your forum's genera and stance. If you are looking to uphold a very professional and clean look for your forum, someone young is not the best way to go.

On the other hand, young staff on forums such as for example (totally made up): "Ps2 Games Mania" - Ps2 Games discussion. Laid back and a chill place to be. That would be the best scenario for young staff.

It goes either way, it is up to the employer of the forum to make that choice.

Well, for all you know, I am. Age is so indefinite on the internet. Snobo has in her profile the age "6", which is not true, as Snobo said in a thread that she will vote in this year's midterm elections. With that behind us, it was a person named lightning who was about 11 or 12. Very immature. (winks at citystatic)

P.S. I believe if a child lies about their age, either themselves or the parents are liable, not the webmaster of the website. Not sure though.

Considering that I am 13 myself, I don't really matter what age people are. i prefer that they be 13 or older, but if it was a 12 year old who did the job well and was mature, i would him/her.

My youngest moderator even was 11 years old, or so he said at least. Seemed like an honest guy, and I still talk with him today, and he appears to be 13 now, which makes sense.

I myself was 11 with my first staff job.
