Your forum's host

Cirtex... Brilliant when you are on a trouble free server, not so good when you are not -lol-

Mind you this is the first server we have been on with any host that doesn't cause any issues.
 
I've been very happy with HostGator since I switched. I did have two times where some idiot on my shared server was hogging all the CPU and Memory. They were quickly suspended though! HostGator is very quick when it comes to someone abusing their servers.
 
Also i was impressed by Hostgator's live support, very fast, polite and helpful.

However this discussion has reminded me of a project i wanted to do a while ago, i won't provide details as i can't do anything long-term (going away for 2 years when I'm 29). That will require lots of space and tonnes of bandwidth, so for me i will be using one of site5's unlimited space and bandwidth plans ~smile~
 
Yeah, their live support usually gets the job done quickly. If not their ticket system is pretty good and that gets answered and resolved within a few hours usually.

Nobody said anything about support tickets, their live support for existing customers is on 24 hours a day ~cheesey_grin~
 
It may be on 24 hours a day but it doesn't mean that someone is always there -😉-

Only problem with that is, 80% of the time the problem you have is one they can't resolve and they tell you to go ahead and submit a ticket ~razz~ ~cry~ my experience with live chat...
 
Unlucky ~lol~

I was on their live support the other night (working on my brother's site). Requested to be moved to a server supported by .asp . Moved me right away ~cheesey_grin~

Experiences with support vary from person to person. I've never had a problem with any host's support except for Lunarpages, where they took 15 hours to reply to a support ticket ~eeeek~
 
Was that 15 hours for normal support or was it passed up to the higher up support people? I was getting waiting times of 15-24 hours when i was trying to talk to the higher support people at Lunarpages which i though was absolutely crap as you reply to the ticket in the evening then go to be and wake up the next morning and it still hasn't been replied to then go to college and come back and it still hasn't been replied to. Atleast with Cirtex you get a reply from their level 2 support or the server administrators in a couple of hours max and from regular support anything varies from a couple of minutes to an hour or 2.
