I agree. I've seen what he's done with past forums. He squeezes every last penny out of them, then sells it for a profit. And now he's been trying to grab BOF from me. He's literally whined and begged me to sell it to him, and I've declined every offer of his. I guess this is what he does when people don't sell their sites to him.
By the way, other people have told me that Dan claimed he bought the forum from me. He's a phony, really.

Actually, this argument is kind of pointless already. It has nothing to do with people opening and closing their sites, I believe. This would be fine as a general discussion, I suppose but I don't like the idea of pointing fingers at people either.

While Green has had a ton of forums in the past, it looks like he is sticking with this one. You may note he invested in vBulletin, and the forum has thousands of posts. :shrug:The Hat Tipper said:

Id just ignore it and move on, honestly I used to care about this kinda stuff, but now I think instead of wasting my time why not just improve my site, his knock off ain't going anywhere fast where your original is, so why bother wasting your breath with this guy if all his gonna do is copy you, you say boo, he says boo, you make a black ops forum, he makes a black ops forum, etc. it's pointless just move on your doing better anyway.

My forum's been copied more times than I can count. Not once have the ripoffs gotten very far, because running a forum is, you know, work. And people who set out to copy someone else aren't exactly into doing real honest work. Forum x lack of motivation and work ethic: it's just an ill fated marriage.
That black ops forum of Green's appears to be flourishing and in a strong phase of growth, headed somewhere great. It looks like he takes pride in the work of making it what it is. There are some things that money can't buy. I know my own forum is priceless to me. Bill Gates couldn't buy it from me.

That's really sad to see someone have to copy like that. I sent in a piracy report to InvisionPower for them to check out the domain to see if it is real and registered or not. Also, send in a DMCA and get his site shut down.
