Only reason I bet half you guys keep saying phpbb3 is because it's free, And does offer a bit more protection but other than that you should really take into consideration of vBulletin which is one of the leading providers for forum software, And is used by some MAJOR gaming/ almost every web host uses it.

You can't really compare ZetaBoards with vBulletin. One's a free software on a free host, the other is a paid software that you have to run on your own host...so there's no common ground.

Moving onto the phpBB3 / vBulletin argument, phpBB3 wins for me. vBulletin is very 'long-winded' and not particularly user friendly in the ACP.

I agree with you 100% fully however, I think built in modifications vBulletin wins hands down, User friendly in ACP goes to phpbb3 I think vBulletin is for the more experienced.

You kidding? IPB is paid, and I'm no fan of it. I like vB because it simply is a great forum software. Everything is easy to use, customized themes look amazing, and I'm so accustomed to it because every huge professional forum I've been on uses vB.

I don't understand why people say vB's admin CP is confusing either. Just learn you way around it, get used to it, and eventually it will no longer be "confusing." I'm assuming they try it once, and immediately think "OMG I CAN'T HANDLE THIS." That happened to me with SMF at first, but after I kept building forums after forums with it, I could never get that mindset anymore. You just need practice.

Going back to the OP's topic, zetaboards vs vB? Is this a serious thread? Lawl.

Well zetaboards, your just feeding the money to Invisionfree. You dont get to manage it, its basically theirs. Its for kids, from ages 9-13 who want to practice. VB all the way baby.

By the way in my own opinion I used to use PhpBB3 I tested it,its really simple...to simple...0_o And I'll admit I think it proply has copied alot of the vBulletin features..so yah phpbb3 copied vBulletin in my own opinion..thats why its #3 top software cuz it copies...🙁
