Admins/staff with bad grammar

I am not bothered about them if they are not native English speaking folks, cause they are in learning stage

however for native English speakers i keep my own grammar as a mark that they have to break 😛

well guys i me here for more than a month now, what are your ratings about my grammer? i know its gonna be pretty low but i would love to see what you all have to say about this,
10 is the pefect and 1 is the least,
Honestly, I'd give it about a 5. Maybe less. It's terrible. :S

I mean, it's wrong from the start because you've completely forgotten about putting a capital letter at the start of your sentence. To me, that's just lazy, particularly because you learn that in first grade and it takes less than half a second to reach for the shift key to make it capital.

There should be a comma after 'guys'.

Then you've got the 'i me here' thing, which should be 'I have been here' or 'I've been here' for short.

Not sure about your next comma. You could have put a full stop there, or you could have added the word 'so'.

The comma after 'this' should certainly be a full stop.

You've also spelt 'perfect' wrong.

That's all I can see for the moment.
Thank You Fanatico(edit: its fantanoice), But actually i was not asking about only that particular post, it was a random question about all my posts here at FP. Anyways you are a good critique and one could learn some grammer from your reviews.
But a little question for you though, How is my grammer in this post?
You should capitalize your I's. You spelled Grammar wrong. :O :O I just realized Fantanoice spelled Spelled wrong. He put "spelt". 🙁 He has disappointed me.
Fanta spelt 'spelt' correctly because she spells in Australian English, not American.

Also, I see you, {iTeenChat}, spelt 'she' incorrectly. You wrote 'he'.
Not incorrect, just rude. I didn't know you were a female, I apologize. 😉

I don't mind a simple U are so cool.

I do mind something like I iz so 1337 cuz i tpe lik dis.

I don't really mind, so what if they have bad grammar or bad spelling, people make mistakes and are not perfect.

I simply won't join a forum if I see that the administrator or even any members of their staff make regular, obvious grammar or spelling mistakes. It's not all that difficult, and if nothing else it instils confidence in a member-base when their leaders know how to use language properly.

When hiring a staff myself, linguistic proficiency is in the top three qualities I look for in candidates. The only exception I'll make is for technical support staff who may or may not end up being a large part of the community itself anyway.

Fortunately to date I have yet to "join" a site where the admin has bad grammar, but I've visited many and that's one of the reasons I didn't join.

I currently have a problem with a couple of staff members who, though are long-standing and useful, have very bad written English skills, Dyslexia in one case. No matter how often you tell them to use spellcheck plug-ins for their browser, you still get one or two posts you cringe after reading. What to do with these people? Is it fair to boot someone out for a learning disorder when they do contribute great ideas and content to a site?

It isn't fair and even harmful too however you can ask them to use opera browser which has auto spell check option so it cud limit the misspells a bit 🙂

Heh...might've posted this already...but the second in command of UW (my forum) always talks in small letters with loads of abbrieviations and spelling errors!

At least he doens't leet speak. Lol. But he's great at his job nonetheless.

If I can understand what they're saying, I don't have a problem with it.
Usually there's more than one staff member that can translate what the other one said. It would be nice if they did brush up on their grammar.
Also, usually, the admins show that they have poor grammar skills before you register. Lurk moar and you won't be disappoint.
(Yes, the last sentence was intentionally typed that way.)

Seriously guys, are we talking grammar or administration who type in leet......There is a big difference that according the the first page of posts is sorely missed.

My grammar sucks, so to does my spelling. I agree with Zane, A forum community should not be held to term paper expctations nor should the administration. It's about expression and as long as the administration and moderator staff can use actual words in their post including made up words(like Kindasortofish, shouldaudenta and the like), I could not care less.

When admin and mods are posting everything in leet however, I'm gone.

Zane, true. But you said English teacher, so why not any capitals? Not one single uppercase letter.

I thought it was fairly obvious, it is an exadgeration of piss poor writing used in forum posting, and it wasn't only caps.
