Adsense

Well Google would have no idea that 1 single click was me, as I did it from work. I set the account up on January 2nd and that is when I clicked. Seems odd that it takes them till April to suspect something. Therefore I don't think it has anything to do with that 1 single click.

But to be honest I prefer my site with no ads, but for them to take my revenue the moment it reaches £50 is a joke!

If you are not certain, its best to send them a support ticket and see what has really happened. 99% of the time, there is a legitimate/reasonable reason for them to ban you.

But really, check out: https://www.google.com/support/adsense/ ... swer=48182 to see if you honestly done something wrong where you though it was ok.

Good luck. 🙂

I've done an appeal to see what happens.

But it's nothing to get upset over, Google Adsense isn't the be all and end all. 🙂

Yeah, very true. There are numerous other ways to gain a few bucks to at least cover the hosting and domain costs. You may also make more in other methods. Maybe contextual ads. 🙂

I reached £50 and Google disabled my account. 😡

I'm appealing it. I have never tried to fraudulently click the ads. I mean they disabled it today but no-one had even clicked a single ad in the past 10 days!!!!
I'm on £75 at the moment and so far I haven't been banned. Hope I don't too.

One annoying thing about Adsense is they don't take taxes out from your earnings, so if you make over $600 in a year, you have to file it on your tax returns (In the US).

I had to do that this year and it was a hassle... I'll be better prepped for next year haha.

Adsense is fine as long as your site is something other than webmaster related

I agree SEO, Making money online, Affiliate Marketing Tips, and Get Rich Quick website is a very hard niche to get into since you will be competing against people who are actually rich from earning money online and have a established fan based.

Plus, I'm sure these topics been written about millions of times on the internet, so it can be difficult to get a decent search ranking on search engines.

I think if you start out with a niche which is very specific and is moderately popular like "making money from selling used classic japanese car parts on Ebay" there will be less competition and easier to gain loyal visitors.

Computer Topics also don't do very well with Adsense since most people who visit computer websites are very tech savvy and don't click on ads. I guest certain computer niches are better for adsense like "Computer game programming for kids, Computer and Internet help for seniors, Introduction to Desktop Publishing and Free Online Computers Games for toodlers." since typically seniors and kids are not very aware of ads.

Adsense has been good to me so far, I've made roughly $15 over the last 13k pageviews.
