Circumcision

Meh i'm good without having it done. I don't really see a need for me personally as i'm not one that gets laid every day (thus HIV being s risk) 😛

I shower regularly, so dirt and such really isn't risk either.

It's up to the people themselves, the only issue I have is when parents make choices for their sons... it's NOT their choice no matter what they say.

Seeing as it is done soon after birth, yeah you don't have a choice.

@agentmanningctu
It can be done at any time, it's just usually done quickly after birth. I feel that because of this it should be up to the person, not the parents. I for one am a strong believer in personal choice, not family choice.

Well most guys are poopy little babies at that time, so its not up to them.

Since the invention of showers many years ago, Circumcision isnt necessary like it was years ago.
Good hygiene is key. Have protected sex, bathe or at least was the junk daily and you dont give it a chance to grow bacteria. Any part of your body has the ability to grow bacteria if you dont stay clean. You cant just go and remove those now can you ?

My son is circ'd at the request of his father. Had I known then and done the research like I should have, I would never have had it done.

Yeah, but if your parents decide to have it done to you while you're a new born, you don't have a choice.

All the girls I know hate uncircumcised 😛

Therefore, glad I am circumcised.
Hi, Im Katie, nice to meet you.
now you cant use that excuse.

😛 I said the ones I know.

I don't know, I guess it's preference, but I know if I had the option to go to the local hospital and have them make me uncircumsized I wouldn't take the option.

I have seen and been with (for a lack of better words) both and I honestly cant tell a difference. I dont see why it matters to a woman. They both do the same job !

I personally don't see the need for it to be done, you were born with it, it's supposed to be there and not to be chopped off because it looks better and is cleaner, like others have said, if you take a regular bath / shower, you shouldn't have a problem.

I understand if you have to have it taken off for medical reasons, but that's another story.

I agree that you should be able to choose if you want it done or not.

I haven't had it done, and if i were to have any boys i wouldn't have it done to them either, they should have the right to choose.

its because now men dont need to worry about getting your junk caught by a briar bush. now we have this neat invention called pants that protect it lol thats the reason why men had it before. but now we dont need it, and it makes it harder to keep you junk clean and stuff.

I really do not mind either and have had both - there are certain things though that make it harder with a Circumcised one ........

Did I just say that ??

I think Muslim's have to do it, but if not getting circumsized is good so you won't get any infections.

I've heard that some do it for appearance, some for hygiene, but most for religious purposes..

I am going to be honest here, even though with men, I have shown preference for cut, vs. un-cut, (because I think a lot more can go wrong.. like a torn foreskin etc.. and I'd be afraid of hurting the guy..) it is not something I would have done to my child.

Religion, or not, unless the doctors can show me research and proof indicating that keeping it, would be detrimental to my child's health, I would not let them do it.

When my brother was born in 2000, he was circumcised, my heart broke every time I, my mother, or my stepfather changed his diaper, I have heard babies cry in frustration, because they were hungrey, need to be burped, changed, got a needle, etc.. but when I heard him cry out in pain, I couldn't take it, and I felt bad for him, because I knew that he didn't know what was going on, or why they hurt him, all he knew is that he was in pain, and there was no way to comfort him. I dont ever want to hear that again, and so, I will not be subjecting my child to that kind of pain, unless the doctors can show me proof that it would be beneficial to my child's health.

As for the religious beliefs regarding circumcision, if the deity or religion I follow requires me to castrate my child, before I am considered a true follower, then that, my friend, is the very same moment I become an atheist. I'd like to think that if the deity they pray to had a problem with foreskin, then he would have written it out of his design for the male genitalia..

Personally, I believe that circumcision should be THE MAN'S CHOICE.. and no one else's as it is HIS EQUIPMENT.

I've heard that the procedure was more or less for the ladies, and I must say that I would NOT want someone doing that for my sake. Any woman that would require a man to have himself castrated to her liking, is proof that she is more invested with the man's genitalia, then she is with the man himself, and should have to spend the rest of her days alone, leaving her with only a B.O.B as a viable alternative.

It wouldn't say much about her as a person, and men would be a lot better off without a woman like that anyway.

So yes, even though some may think that it isn't really that pretty, it is a lot better looking than a two-tone rod (that is if you are of a different race) and honestly, I think that hoodie or not, the male genitalia has the potential to be a lot cleaner than the woman's vagina.. as we have a lot more nooks and crannies as opposed to a man.

If the parent's teach their child to properly clean himself, and even show them what can happen if they don't, then the smegma issue, would not be as prevalent.. even if the child doesn't listen to you, eventually he will either notice himself, or he will be forced to take notice by the girl he wants to have sex with, so he'll end up listening anyway.
