LOL
That's ridiculous. Some 68 year old man has no right to instruct a kid to follow the rules of the airplane. That guy should be charged within the full extent of the law for what he did.dentist said:It isn't that funny. The kid didn't listen, and the 68 year old is being punished for trying to get the kid to do what he was instructed to do.
Go to juvie for using a phone on an airplane? How many adults do you think don't want to turn off their electronics on an airplane?FarSide said:It is against FAA regulations to use electronics during take-off and landing. If the teen didn't listen, he should have been removed from the plane. I'm sick of little punks, the 15 year old would go to Juvie if was up to me.
What do you mean you come from a different world? Do you seriously support violent vigilantism against a 15 year old boy by a 60 year old man? What if that were your son who was just punched by some random man on an airplane?FarSide said:I guess I come from a different world.

That's an argument for another day, however, you would be perfectly fine with some random guy on an airplane punching your child? Just perfectly fine with it?FarSide said:obama hates santa said:What do you mean you come from a different world? Well first off, my son wouldn't have an iPhone until he was able to work and pay for it himself, and he would have the manners to turn it off when told. If I wasn't there, I would expect someone to correct him, and if he doesn't listen? Make him listen. That's what's wrong with America nowadays, punishment that makes people listen has gone away.... Now you just get 'a good talking to.' Like that's going to do anything.... Must be why half my high school class went to jail or dropped out of college. Just not there anymore I guess.
I agree. I think hitting usually signifies a loss of control over a situation, and really it never does any good, it only escalates the situation, resulting in more crying, chaos, yelling, etc.Snobothehobo said:If you're a good parent, there shouldn't be any need to physically hit your child. Hitting your child is a display of weakness. It shows that you can't really get the job done.

But yeah I'm not saying old men should be slapping teens, even if they deserve it.
