Yes your parents can say you can't smoke. But if they do you will go behind there backs and do it any ways. i started smokeing when i was 14 of course stilling them from my mom. She found out when i was 17. she told me im not going support my habit as in paying for them. Now i am 19 and still smoking.Taz said:Well, its your life and the only people who can have a say in that is your parents.
If you are a child then its up to your parents to steer you in the right direction. When a child reaches adult hood then its his/her life and then he/she can do whatever he/she wants. 😛ItzAngel said:I feel like its your life, you do what you want lol. If smoking makes you happy then wtf go ahead :]
You'd think they'd wait until they were out of car instead of trapping their son in a car where he has no choice but to breath in their smoke... :shrug:ThePimpedMistletoe said:I personally don't have a problem with smokers, but I do hate when I am in the car with my parents and they light up a cigarette. I always open the windows as it smells bad and makes me cough a lot.
I guess it's the addiction that takes over, they just get a craving and they have to have a cigarette. My dad tries to keep the cigarette out of the car and only bring it in when he sucks the smoke out of it, but I just cough no matter what.theezy said:You'd think they'd wait until they were out of car instead of trapping their son in a car where he has no choice but to breath in their smoke... :shrug:ThePimpedMistletoe said:I personally don't have a problem with smokers, but I do hate when I am in the car with my parents and they light up a cigarette. As I said, I think my parents body is telling them to smoke, and not letting the brain say no. My parents are in the process of quitting, my brother and I have been hassling them for a pong time to quit, and their first attempt failed. Hopefully this time they quit for good 🙂theezy said:My mom used to smoke with me in the car too and in the house with all the windows shut. I used to go to school with my clothes stinking like smoke & people would make comments.
I often wondered why she would put her son through that. Is it really that hard to smoke in the backyard and out of the car? If I was a smoker I would not do that to my kid.
Not a good enough excuse to me. Damaging your own child's health for to satisfy your own selfish urges is pretty low. People just dont think about it that way, perhaps if they did, they would change their habits.ThePimpedMistletoe said:As I said, I think my parents body is telling them to smoke, and not letting the brain say no.
Obviously they have realised what my brother and I have said is true, my dad is taking a drug that makes him feel weird but continues to take it. Hopefully this is a sign that he really wants to quit.theezy said:Not a good enough excuse to me. Damaging your own child's health for to satisfy your own selfish urges is pretty low. Additive free is always good, and expensive..
At your age, smoking will only kill your brain cells faster and make you even more depressed. Smoking isn't' the best choice for you.TheNavigator said:Well, I never smoked, but I tried to do so.. Well, if I had enough money and somewhere secret so my parents don't notice me, I will..
I've ran into a very depressing life that even I'm a mental patient now.. And I'm trying to keep it secret as much as I can..
I'm 13 BTW
Second hand smoking 😛theezy said:You'd think they'd wait until they were out of car instead of trapping their son in a car where he has no choice but to breath in their smoke... :shrug:ThePimpedMistletoe said:I personally don't have a problem with smokers, but I do hate when I am in the car with my parents and they light up a cigarette. If a doctor told you you would die if you smoked again, would you still smoke?Jay™ said:Because I enjoy it.
And there is still evidence to suggest that people smoking weed more than once a week have considerably less memory recollection, paranoia and twitching.
Actually even once a week, you can still get mental problems.katy perry is hot said:That's because there is none. The scientific evidence of a link between weed and mental health issues is really only established for users who begin at a young age and smoke chronically (meaning 3 or so joints per day, 5 days a week). Normal smokers who do it once a week or whatever aren't going to get mental health issues. It's that simple. You can find the article on ABC news website. It's simply not dangerous unless you go crazy with it, just like anything else.Jay™ said:Tha't what I don't understand. More people are concerned with the problems "caused" by smoking, and yet all of the reports showing scientific evidence of a link between weed and mental health problems are completely ignored.
The public have selective hearing, which is fed by the media. They only read what they want to know.
Smoking, on the other hand, as I explained, but you chose to blow off, does cause cancer, aside other health issues.
Because weed is already illegal, people want tobacco illegal now. Like me.Jay™ said:I know there is, but I don't understand why people ignore weed but rage about tabacco!
