Smoking at a young age.

Aww I thought you grew your own so you wouldn't have all the yucky chemicals in your tobacco... still a lot better to roll yourself though.

Yeah, i will soon, this is the next best thing though. Also got a 30g pack of Horizon Blue.

If you choose to smoke, it's your decision. I personally can't stand being around the smell of smoke. I have asthma, and that's one of the huge triggers of my asthma as well. (It's mostly allergy related asthma). I work as a housekeeper as well, and I have strict orders from my doctor that if we are assigned any rooms that allow smoking, I am to steer clear of those rooms. If all we have on the list are smoking rooms, then I am simply supposed to let another staff member handle the room, and I myself am supposed to go off to an area where there's no smoking permitted, and find something else to do, like an odd job or something. If people want to smoke, that's their decision. I too feel that it shouldn't end a friendship. I will say that if a person must smoke when I'm around them, I'd rather they go off someplace else and smoke, lest I have an asthma episode or something.

Well, its your life and the only people who can have a say in that is your parents.
Yes your parents can say you can't smoke. But if they do you will go behind there backs and do it any ways. i started smokeing when i was 14 of course stilling them from my mom. She found out when i was 17. she told me im not going support my habit as in paying for them. Now i am 19 and still smoking.

I feel like its your life, you do what you want lol. If smoking makes you happy then wtf go ahead :]

If you are a child then its up to your parents to steer you in the right direction. When a child reaches adult hood then its his/her life and then he/she can do whatever he/she wants. 😛

I personally don't have a problem with smokers, but I do hate when I am in the car with my parents and they light up a cigarette. I always open the windows as it smells bad and makes me cough a lot.

You'd think they'd wait until they were out of car instead of trapping their son in a car where he has no choice but to breath in their smoke...

I guess it's the addiction that takes over, they just get a craving and they have to have a cigarette. My dad tries to keep the cigarette out of the car and only bring it in when he sucks the smoke out of it, but I just cough no matter what.

My mom used to smoke with me in the car too and in the house with all the windows shut. I used to go to school with my clothes stinking like smoke & people would make comments.

I often wondered why she would put her son through that. Is it really that hard to smoke in the backyard and out of the car? If I was a smoker I would not do that to my kid.

As I said, I think my parents body is telling them to smoke, and not letting the brain say no. My parents are in the process of quitting, my brother and I have been hassling them for a pong time to quit, and their first attempt failed. Hopefully this time they quit for good 🙂

Not a good enough excuse to me. Damaging your own child's health for to satisfy your own selfish urges is pretty low. People just dont think about it that way, perhaps if they did, they would change their habits.

Obviously they have realised what my brother and I have said is true, my dad is taking a drug that makes him feel weird but continues to take it. Hopefully this is a sign that he really wants to quit.

I'm buying a couple of packs of Smokin Joes and Manitou from my local tobacco store they better be good for $12 a pack.

Additive free is always good, and expensive..

Congrats.

Well, I never smoked, but I tried to do so.. Well, if I had enough money and somewhere secret so my parents don't notice me, I will..

I've ran into a very depressing life that even I'm a mental patient now.. And I'm trying to keep it secret as much as I can..

I'm 13 BTW

At your age, smoking will only kill your brain cells faster and make you even more depressed. Smoking isn't' the best choice for you.

Second hand smoking 😛

Smoking is bad, for whatever reason a smoker may have to smoke. Many smokers regret ever starting and tell others not to.
I hate smoking, especially the smell of it. I think that anyone that knows the real effects of it wouldn't ever let a cigarette touch their lips.

Because I enjoy it.

And there is still evidence to suggest that people smoking weed more than once a week have considerably less memory recollection, paranoia and twitching.
If a doctor told you you would die if you smoked again, would you still smoke?

Tha't what I don't understand. More people are concerned with the problems "caused" by smoking, and yet all of the reports showing scientific evidence of a link between weed and mental health problems are completely ignored.

The public have selective hearing, which is fed by the media. They only read what they want to know.
That's because there is none. The scientific evidence of a link between weed and mental health issues is really only established for users who begin at a young age and smoke chronically (meaning 3 or so joints per day, 5 days a week). Normal smokers who do it once a week or whatever aren't going to get mental health issues. It's that simple. You can find the article on ABC news website. It's simply not dangerous unless you go crazy with it, just like anything else.

Smoking, on the other hand, as I explained, but you chose to blow off, does cause cancer, aside other health issues.
Actually even once a week, you can still get mental problems.

I know there is, but I don't understand why people ignore weed but rage about tabacco!
Because weed is already illegal, people want tobacco illegal now. Like me.
