almost had to do that, luckily I had the option to do that easily on my laptop with just a factory settings reformat 😛azza12342 said:I had to use system restore once, had a virus which was so dumb that it didn't delete the system restore checkpoints /fail for that virus maker.
Most viruses will delete all your system restore points as they infect your system. I had a virus not too long ago that did this, I tried to restore but all my restore points were deleted. After I logged off the virus deleted my windows logon files which made it impossible to load windows, so I figured a repair install would fix it... No so I had to reinstall a whole new Windows XP and reformat my C DRIVE, lost EVERYTHING /RAGE.
Viruses suck, some can be noob (/fail) but some can be bitches.

For me they usually are important things or things that create errors everytime you start up your laptop.azza12342 said:Fowler said:I have used System Restore alot... I always tend to touch things that break and mess up.
I don't, if they break for me I just stop using them... Unless I need them and their important of course.
