It's common knowledge.

An example of one of many people who have become healthy by cutting out meat and other stuff. Their cholesterol levels are a lot better, lost weight, etc.

Etc, etc etc.
Boy did I miss you dynastygal.

Yeah, I disagree with that. I mean, think back to the days of neanderthals and the early homosapians; humans were just as dumb as most animals. We just happened to have superior brains through evolution.

You can't agree with something that isn't even true *sigh*

So little common sense among meat eaters.

People should watch this then say whether they'll still eat meat or not.
I saw it i still have no plans to stop eating meat

I think it is a choice. If you want to eat meat, be my guest! Want to eat your veggies instead? Feel free!

Right then I have just read every post and boy there is some crap written there

Meat is good for you but in teh amounts some people eat as is veg.

trust me I know a lot about meat being a butcher, and before you all say blah blah blah about meat I dont like beef, not fussed on pork or turkey but I do love Chicken and bacon.
my favourite food in pasta chicken bacon pepperoni in a creamy sauce

I have the right to agree to what I think is true, not what you think is true.

We eat to stay alive and keep are Iron levels to the point that we dont die. If humans didnt eat meat, we would all be dead.

According to you roughly 1 million people + should be dead, including myself. So I presume you believe in zombies, do you? Because I must be one if I'm able to post on here whilst being dead.

So my opinion isn't true? I think that vegetarian burger is going to your head. I said I like the taste of steak. I eat meat to live, if I don't eat then I'll begin to have some serious problems correct? So actually, we have a lot of common sense, you just misread my post 🙂

The majority of humans do not eat meat to live, so it's not true.

It's funny. These animal rights activists are all against killing animals to eat, but they don't stop animals from doing it to other animals in the wild.

And what are humans? We are animals too.

Animals evolved long before us. So you can't use the excuse they were put here for our use because it's not scientifically justifiable.

This has already been discussed.

Animals who hunt in the wild do so for survival, we don't. Do they not teach anything in science class nowadays?

What does science have to do with it?

Early stages of mankind killed wild animals to eat and survive, just like we still do today.

Science has to do with the biological needs of an animal.

We do NOT eat animals to 'survive' today. Why is it so hard for people to accept that fact?

People will claim anything to excuse murder nowadays it seems.

...

OMG...seriously?

Biology is a branch of scientific knowledge.

In science class you learn biology, physics, chemistry, etc. Higher years do separate classes devoted to certain subjects within science.

You may say we don't eat meat to live, but we eat meat to get our protein, some calcium, and some vitamins. I quote, from the book Food for the Gullet, "Many nutritionists, biologists and physiologists offer convincing evidence that humans are in fact not meant to eat plants only."

Also, much of the world's massive hunger problems could be solved by the reduction or elimination of plant-eating. You vegetarians eat two to three times what people who eat meat eat, so you're wasting food. One steak = 3-4 vegetables. The kids in Africa, Haiti, and Chilé would really want any sort of food, so give them your precious vegetables and eat food that doesn't cause kids to starve.

Well that's clearly bollocks. How do you think herbivores get protein, calcium and vitamins? From air? It's blatently obvious we can get those things from non animal sources so why do you persist to deny the truth? Even your nutrient info is wrong because meat does not contain calcium in it unless it contains the bones.

To get a slab of meat you need to harvest more crops than you need to get crops for humans. So no, it's MEAT EATING that's helping food wastage :great:

Also you fail to realise part of the starvation is due to corrupt governments not feeding their people or allowing aid in. Nothing to do with shortage of food.

Please don't post fallacies.

Anyways, given you're the one who decided to insult me via reputation points, and you clearly haven't a clue what you're on about I'm just going to put you on ignore. Can't be bothered to deal with people like you. Let me know when you learn basic science.

Or the fact that countries are poor or were just through a natural disaster.

How do you get your omega-3 fatty acids? Studies also show that vegans and vegetarians are 30% more likely to break a bone than meat eaters.

In context, you are correct. However, manure (created by digestion of crops) helps make crops grow bigger, naturally. If you were to plant a corn plant in a heap of manure, and a corn plant in a heap of dirt, the corn plant in the manure would grow much larger than the plant in the heap of dirt.
