I'm not a vegetarian. That's me though. People can be vegetarians if they want. That's their privilege.

Wow, bumping up a topic that was posted in last 8 months ago. Might as well contribute then. 😀

I am not a vegetarian, though I do admire those who do have to be a vegetarian, through reasons including suddenly being allergic to certain types of meat (because of interactions from various different things, like medication, bacteria, etc.), willing to control their total meat intake, getting tired of eating things with meat all the time, or just willing to eat meat during cold seasons like Winter.

Nothing wrong with trying new things! I think vegetarians and vegans are generally healthier than most people including meat in their diets.

It is hard to debate about lifestyle and people's opinions, but yeah.

I am among the people who can't truly comprehend the idea of not abusing animals by being a vegetarian. Most probably because I believe in the chain of predation. It is created in order to keep the balance. Some humans might have gone overboard with animal abuse, such as beating their dogs or not treating them well, but I don't think the same applies to food.

Medically, there are also nutritional elements you cannot get elsewhere but meat, and they are quite important for life. Although it is also true that meat can be harmful when eaten excessively.

I was vegetarian for awhile but still had milk and cheese. Even when I have all vegetable based meals, or just grains and rice with no meats, I still have milk. It's not something I want to give up. Milk and cheese are very natural and have been a staple of human civilization for thousands of years. At some point, I might give up all meats in the diet, but not right now.

I'm not. Sorry, but I need meat! Kudos go to those who actually manage to be a vegetarian. xD

at least it's more of a healthy lifestyle! =D

I'm not, but I don't mind to become one. In any case, I eat meat only sometimes and in small quantities.

Eeyyup. Veggie here since 2009. What pissed me off what that people were like "WTF" when I didn't even eat fish. I mean, geez, fish are animals too. Oh well, society.

However, since then I haven't eaten any meat, I barely got sick all these years. Even been vegan for 1-2 years 'til my stupid ex happened.

As long as they had a good life and they were killed swiftly and painlessly then I'm happy to eat it. If not, I'm against it. That's why I only buy free range. 😛

I'm not a vegetarian, but I do avoid certain meats.

For instance, I don't eat steak or hamburger just because I don't like the texture and flavor. However, I'll down a pork chop and a chicken sandwich any day. 😛

I wish there was a like button for this post 😛

Yeah, the texture is just iffy and it feels weird when I eat one. It's just not enjoyable.

I know, I tried a burger once and I've never EVER wanted to eat one again. 🙁

Back in 2008 I remember eating 11 hamburgers in one sitting. XD Though the ones from Burger King were pretty dry. When I'm eating burgers, they're veggie and the ones I'm buying are actually pretty tasty.

... D'aww, now I'm hungry again. >_>
