Any weight loss tips you have?

I was around 201 pounds two months back. Now I am 176 pounds which means I reduced 25 pounds in two months time. I didn't do much - I just drank green tea early morning everyday for two months and basic calisthenics for 25 minutes everyday except weekends.

Any other tips other than the drastic gym measure?

I have lost 7 pounds so far by drinking a gallon of water(following the half of body weight in fl OZ) everyday and watch what I am eating. I cut all soda out of my diet and any sugary food.

I lost 2 pounds and I'm now 9 stones,

There are several weight loss activities where you can lose weight without the rigorous exercises. As Lord Saru mentioned, green tea is definitely a good option to go with. Once a day is a good habit to cut out fat and make yourself slim. But all depends on your health.

Eat right and exercise is about all you can do (unless you get some type of surgery).

try and walk everyday even that you aren't fat

It's all about your mindset. Acknowledge the block that is preventing you from getting the body weight you want, and work on clearing it.

Make sure you motivate yourself, by not eating fatty food and keep eating healthy food. Always make sure you cook things and make things yourself, as home food is healthier. Also take a lot of exercise, do walk everyday. Also depending on what you want to do go to the gym, to lose weight oo.

Yes, motivation is very important but is based on your will. The thing is that 95% of our actions are based on beliefs in our subconscious mind, the other 5% is our will. And here comes the problem - if you have any block or belief that says, let's say, is safe to be fat, you'll stay fat no matter what you do.That's why is so important to know yourself - as a child, maybe you heard your parents fighting about the lack of money and that they cannot buy enough food... And you learn that there is not enough food for everyone, so you decided to become fat for the hard times. I know a girl who was abused as a child. Then she saw that boys don't like fat girls, so in order to protect herself, her body started gaining weight. As a consequences, the abuses stopped. When older she just couldn't lose weight because the belief she had was: If I lose weight, I'll be abused again, in other words, is safe to be fat. She changed the belief to the one that goes something like this: Is totally safe to be slim. And she was able to sculpt her body, I think she is now a fitness instructor or something from that field.

95% of losing weight and keeping it off is due to mindset. People who are at their ideal body weight differ from those who are overweight in several ways:
- How they think about food (their mindset) is different.
- They develop a healthy obsession or focus on getting & staying healthy.
- Their bigger goals and dreams become more powerful than the stories, excuses and addictions they might have.
- They learn how to develop new healthy habits that become part of their daily life.
- They decide to take action consistently to achieve their weight loss goals.

I'll share my story on this one.

I have been heavy most of my life. It's very hard to lose weight, I tried for years, would lose some and gain more back. Finally got told by a doctor to lose weight, or I would become a diabetic. That gave me the motivation I needed. Last year, I dropped 70 lbs. I have gained some of that back this year, but have started to get back on track and still have around 30 pounds more to go.

Motivation is defiantly the key. For me, it's the threat of diabetes that got me off my lazy butt.

What I do:
- You can eat whatever you want, just watch your calorie count. Only eat 2,000 calories a day, not one more.
- Drink lots of water. If you want a soda, drink a Zero or a Diet & Caffeine free drink.
- Walk a lot. I make a point to get at least 2 hours of extra walking a day. That has helped out a lot. I also don't do it all at once. Go for a walk for 30 minutes, then take a break for a while, then do it again for another 30 minutes.
- Don't eat out, except on very rare occasions. Buy food and make it at home. If you do eat out, don't eat much and/or pick a place that is healthy for you, not fast food.

You can:
- Do exercise every day
- Do not stay up late and should get up early
- Eat a lot of vegetables, keep away from fat food
- Not to eat fast food
- Try some surgeon to take it out of body
😀

The lightest I've ever been was 112lbs and the heaviest 152lbs. 152lbs may not sound very much but being 4'11" It's considered obese. I am now 132lbs which is OK however I am wanting to lose weight again because my clothes no longer fit the way I want them to. (When you're having to hop up and down to get into jeans that's usually my cue to really start paying attention to what I eat!)

My technique for weight loss is pretty simple:
Only drink water, coffee, or tea.
Eat at least 3 meals/day each meal including some kind of meat/protein and vegetables.
Exercise for at least 30 minutes everyday.

Actually eating a lot might not be the problem but rather lack of exercise. However, most Americans and I'm guessing most Brits get very little exercise.

don't get fat
Empire, that may be a straight forward answer that might be needed, but you also need to take into consideration that not all people are equal in how they metabolize the food they eat. For example, some people are fat due to one health reason or another, that slowed down how fast they burn off what they eat for those people. Simply saying that you got fat, because you didn't care about stopping yourself from getting fat, isn't always fact.

Also, not all people get fat, due to being lazy. Infact I know a dairy farmer that does a ton of moving around and such, but was told by a doctor, that his weight he has, was because his body "got used to the level of activity" he put forward for running his business. And believe me, he does a ton of stuff that for a normal person, would burn weight off like crazy.

Yea!! I do know on person that used to be fat that was an health problem, and she was eating very good. What she had to go though was Surgery after surgey to remove what needed to remove. Also some people thing 60kg is fat, get crazy cox out there.

What I don't like seeing is people make themselves fat by eating junk or not looking after there wight. I walk down the raod and sometimes feel sick looking at them

I eat healthly
I want a lot got a dog help with that
I also walk a lot at work
You can still have treats say once a week
I go swimming when I can
I aslo joined a remblering group so we go out walking twice a month
walking up to 14 miles up and down hills

I have never had any bigger issues with getting/losing weight, though it's just me. I easily gain and I easily lose weight unlike a lot of people these days. I always preferred walking than doing hardcore cardio as it's really better to walk in the beginning (mostly because of skin)
