It is if you choose to stick with whatever version of software you're currently using and don't upgrade when new versions come out.the costs of running IPB are the shocking part of them all. It is not cheap
To get extra you ahve to pay for it, IPB are like thatOddly enough I find the worst feature is them not offering a simple website CMS using their IPS.Pages app via their cloud platform.
Otherwise, the way the store handles premium memberships is far from ideal. I heard it is getting fixed soon, but it has been not great for years.
Would have to agree as now it makes finding plugins, applications, and themes harder to find. I know that there is Invisioneer but, it was a solution to a problem that shouldn't have to have been made.Getting rid of the marketplace was so stupid.
I do not even look for addons anymore, I have no idea what's out thereWould have to agree as now it makes finding plugins, applications, and themes harder to find. I know that there is Invisioneer but, it was a solution to a problem that shouldn't have to have been made.
Perhaps, instead of an actual storefront the marketplace could have been a linking hub.
Same, It's ridiculous. I honestly don't know why they got shut of the Marketplace. when you do find a developer you have to register on their forum, It's so silly.I do not even look for addons anymore, I have no idea what's out there
I've been considering converting from XF to IPS, since the demo I have, I can basically do 95% of what I want without any plugins. The only thing I really feel is missing is Passkeys support.I agree, and the fact that the IC5 release is on the horizon. I don't know how many add-ons will be converted to work with the new software. Right now, I only have one application running. Normally I would have a few more but, I've gone in the direction of a less is more attitude. IC has enough built-in functionality that many old add-ons aren't needed these days.
