phpBB3 information

I agree, but they have Jr. MOD Validators who help the MOD Team, but the Style Team doesn't have any... I think they should get some more helpers like Jr. Style Validators.

I'm with Spyka on this one. Tried submitting my styles, following a 3 MONTH wait it was finally rejected on the grounds that "we don't like the links in the footer". I'm sorry but to me that sounds like personal feelings are clashing with the validation process.

Think I'll stick with phpbb3styles.net and awesomestyles.com ...

They said a similar thing with mine - they removed the links to my site though and approved it

It's why I expect my current one in the queue to be rejected for again, when it is eventually reviewed!

I think they are far far too picky

New CAPTCHA - impressive, glad to see they've finally added re-captcha compatability.

Just wanted to say that you would always add your own recaptcha from recaptcha.net and is compatible. Currently using it on my forum and haven't got a single spam.

I had to make a special style for it to work on 3.0.6 🙁

Yeah, I heard somewhere that something in 3.0.6 (I think the new captcha?) would stop 3.0.5 styles working in 3.0.6 . I've not seen the style updates for 3.0.6 yet, although with the new features such as quick reply and report PM I'm guessing the list will be fairly long. Not really looking forward to it.

Yeah, my style still has some errors, I really am thinking of staying with .5

PHPBB3 is up there with paid forum software I believe. Its unique and not many people use it.

Not many people use phpBB? It is one of the most, if not the most well used forum software out there.

Nothing is "unique" on the internet. People can do things in their own way, but there's never been something that hasn't been copied in one way or another.

I wouldn't go that far

IPB is better in my opinion and depending on the forums genre, vb is better then phpBB3 also in some cases.

each forum have their up and downs, so there is no point bickering over the point of it

It will have Quick Reply as standard, but you have to enable it in each and every forum >.<

I'm running 3.0.6 right now. 🙂

Pretty nice, the Quick reply is pretty simple, though.
