Yes, but they won't have the premiership nor will they have a majority in parliament.
Today a Swedish Court ordered the ISP that hosted the connection for The Pirate Bay to disconnect them or face charges of up to $70,000 (USD). The ISP complied, within 3 hours the DNS updated on the OpenDNS network and the site is expected to be completely back online by tomorrow morning. I just want to say, they are gods. The Pirate Bay is the only site to ever stand up in front of the court of law and put up an amazing fight. They have shown that the The Pirate Bay will never die, because (as my signature states), it's not a site, it's the cause of well over 100 million people, it's what we live for, it's our freedom. If it weren't for TPB standing up and fighting for us, our freedom of speech rights would even be under pressure by now. They told us for years to decentralize, but until they did the whole "selling" out deal we hadn't listened. Now, assuming this deal goes through, they will had earned $7.8 million to support the pirate cause. If they end up going to jail then they will go as heroes, because even if you didn't directly support the pirate cause, you have to respect them for standing up for what they believed in when no one else would, they are gods.Irviding said:Well, teenagers are ignorant as to the fact that quality of movies and other media ( not songs ) will go poor.
Bit over dramatic. The Pirate Bay itself will never die, neither in spirit or in data. ... Why? Because TPB isn't a site, it's our generation, it's our cause, and i'm personally willing to DIE for it before i'd give in.

Not really. You know I fight for what I believe correct, and I swear on anything you wish that I would. Right now in my life there honestly isn't much that matters, this issue is one of those things. If it really came down for it, i'd be one of the ones that fought with everything I had to support the cause. Even right now i'm trying to think of what I can do to actually help, creating a torrent site really won't do much, and seeding with my connection will hurt more then help. School just started up again, and in CIT we are being given a chance to make a "company" and compete world wide (if we win we go to Korea for the finials), I was thinking of creating a better model of a copyrightless system for mine, or maybe even a better distribution method (P4P anyone?). We'll have almost unlimited supplies of whatever for it, so anything is within our ability (last year they created a management system called "Learn" that controls general school setup, it is now being used nationally).Irviding said:Bit over dramatic. The Pirate Bay itself will never die, neither in spirit or in data. ... Business is the field I wish to go into as my career, i've studied the models, don't tell me I don't know what i'm talking about. Hollywood claimed the VHS would kill their sales, they claimed the DVD would shut them down, this is no different. There IS money to be made when giving the songs away free, you just have to think outside the box to get there, which is why the industry will indeed fall on it's ass at some point no matter what happens. Here are the choices we have;MisterPeaBody said:Leog, when you grow up, and understand business, you won't support it either. It's just common sense. Business will close, people will lose their jobs. Another depression can start if piracy becomes legal. So keep running around while you're a child, enjoy yourself, but when you grow up, you'll get some sense in your head.
I'll be the first to admit I know very little on 90% of subjects, however business, piracy systems, and legal conflicts within the pirate community are a few things that I study to the "nerd" levels 😉gqgk said:i like how he assumes we know nothing

That said, can I ask quick are you a neo conservative or a paleo conservative?
yep. for 2 years i have. and wanna know something? it was paid for by tax payers. want to know something else? 10% of the population pays 90% of the taxes. how fair is that? not at all, just because i work hard and make more than someone doesnt mean i should pay more for it. just because i can afford it if you stole all the money out of my wallet, does that make it right?Irviding said:You're 18 years and you've been to college for 2 years?
I take AP government classes too, by the way 🙂
